Wouldn’t say it’s beyond the ability of man

When I brought my Mrs back from Hospital after our second child I had to inject her for a week to prevent blood clotting, this is common with many who have a C section

Likewise millions inject insulin on a regular basis

Is it that far fetched?

Doesn't it depend on whether the injection would be intravenous or intra-muscular? I reckon i could manage an intra-muscular.  Intravenous? Not so confident.

aye

end of the day they can get their education online whilst isolating

just need to set up a home delivery service for booze and pot noodles, and I'm sure local drug dealers will have them covered and be hand to sort them out

I know it's easy to tar folk with the same brush, but they can't be that arsed about paying 9k and ending up having to do zoom lessons for 2 weeks

they're fucked off because they've been waiting 18 years to get away from home, and now they have, they can't go out

2 weeks isolation, out of 3 or 4 years of studying, it's no great hardship

selfish cunts

Increasingly finding myself thinking along these lines. Additionally, lets remember, the students don't pay these fees. The loan scheme does and they dont repay it until earning enough.

If they don't want to do it, then perhaps a return to the old system where fewer, but funded places were available to those accedemically suited to universities and not any cunt that fancies a three year piss up before bleating that they cant drop immediately into a career paying 50k+ a year.

OK, I'll concede you are visiting mum 'legally'

I'm the good boy in our house

Made easier that I've no close relatives and no mates

Son, daughter and wife can't be controlled, though. :)

My view is he’s trying to sound more conciliatory and act like he’s governing in a more inclusive manner. But I can’t see how they can. Someone needs to make the decisions and implement them. Same as krankie is doing.

Ultimately, you're right. BBC mon was saying negotiations are ongoing, but if not agreed by local authorities, then conditions will be imposed.

Whilst its good to discuss with local leaders, each would want their own subtle differences which would lead to more so called confusion, which the local leaders say has been an issue that they don't want.

Something has to give somewhere.

Can still see the potential for a brief, proper lockdown later though.

Problem is the evidence folk wanted they tried, I think , to show this morning and it’s just a confusing myriad of graphs with varying scales and you end up more lost. Might just be me of course.

the problem is the people they need to sell it to to make it work don’t give a fuck. And then you’ve folk deleting the app as they’ve been told to isolate which won’t be limited to mounts it will be all over the place.

unless we all chip in here we are fucked and measures will become more draconian. And then those people that ignore them now will moan the loudest. We really do have a very high proportion of knobheads on our fair shores.

👏

All in all today has made fuck all difference to me at all, apart from preventing me from going to Liverpool.

I can live with that.

I still think these measures, as baffling as people like to make out they are, work.

Bolton numbers have levelled off (dropped?) and the schools have stayed open.

It's shit, but the alternatives are worse.

We can still go for a pint, still go to work (well, most of us, shit for them that can't, I know) and our "rights" and "civil liberties" are largely intact.

We forget how lucky we are at times.

Absolutely. Could live on Mull.

So

Which local Liverpool leaders agreed

Somebody is telling fibs

this would imply that there aren’t much actual discussions taking place other than being told what’s what

Always the victims.

They'll be fucking loving this and digging out the compo forms by sundown.

I agree that it needs buy in from the public, and I also fear that there are too many people who will just choose to do what they want, but the evidence should still be provided to local government to assist with implementation, carry them along, etc.

I agree 100%. I’m not sure it isn’t being provided though.  I’m just not sure people can interpret it. So the reaction is to push it to one side as they don’t understand it possible

it’s also clear that you put evidence in front of folk if it backs up the opposing viewpoint to theirs they will just ignore it and seek out something that backs up their point. And it just goes round and round.

look at the in and out thread on here as an example 😁

Is there a website to tell you which tier you are in.

I'm referring to local government officials rather than the general public. There are too many of them, from different towns and cities, who are claiming that they aren't being informed for it not to be true IMO.
