I’ve done it at all kid’s football matches and training , 3 venues a weekend and 4 venues a week as well as work and the pub so probably scan in 15 times a week . 
keep getting loads of false alerts too , not sure if that’s linked to the number of times I checked in at various places or if it’s just a glitch but it’s fucking annoying now

Some pro hospitality trade social media accounts decided to ignore the figures that show eating out / leisure in a bad light - see page 21 onwards - and instead focus on the data that puts hospitality in a good light on page 15 - create their own chart from it, and then publish one side of the story and narrative, instead of painting the whole picture.

A few weeks ago, tracing someone in a pub was much harder than in a school/uni/hospital/care home, because the record keeping enabling it to be done was reliant on folk filling in a piece of paper correctly,  in some pubs, versus proper record keeping in the schools/hospitas/care homes, so the insinuation is you'll trace less in areas where the record keeping is worse, in venues where people dont know who everyone is, in venues where multiple people come in and out, as opposed to venues where there are exact records of where people sit/ are in bed, how long for, and who's been in and out of close contact with each other.

Relying on page 21 onwards won’t get the message over. 
 

I picked a take away up on Saturday night. The curry house was full clearly folk having a potentially last night out before lockdown. As they were so busy I had to wait. It is a relatively small area we live in so across the tables people knew each other and you could see people breaking the rules by stopping chatting with others. I was not asked to zap any code. 
 

To be clear I support the restrictions but we need to convince other people and getting the numbers out is key to this.

Yeah agreed mate, It just pisses me off when the experts have to counteract mis-information from folk who have no great responsibility to the welfare of the general public. 

If you were are spokesperson in the hospitality trade, would you 

A/ Paint the whole picture, and look for reasonable and inovative ways to increase trade / save jobs and protect customers at the same time - In a nutshell, admitt that being indoors for several hours,  in pubs and restaurants in high infection areas, is likley to increase their customer's and staff chance of catching covid, and push for more outdoor/takeaway provision, better policing of venue adherence to the regulations, higher furlough payments and finacaial support for their workers and business owners etc.

B/ Paint one side of the picture, ask for proof all the time, when they've obviously already clever enough to have it because they've looked at the report, dispute the obvious reasoning that shows why transmission is a higher risk , point the finger at other venues/ geographic areas.
