That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

Hang on, Sweden are above us on that list, that can't be right?

Czech did quite well originally, what the fuckery happened there @Boby Brno

That’s a good question. They came out of the first lockdown and thought they’d cracked it. Tried pretty much everything that we have and more. 2 health ministers resigned. Reported today that they hope to have 600,000 vaccinated by the end of March.

Presumably death rates will be largely similar- no heard of any strain being more lethal than others.

May be influenced by average age, comorbidities, etc.

This is the one I've been watching!

Thats the one I use.

Just that the deaths per population, we jump many of those that are in the graph above.

May even do a quick excel sheet on deaths per cases, in theory it should be similar in each country, but I fear not.

getting rid of any country with < 1000 deaths (to prevent skewed reesults, both ways):

Uk come 23rd, with a death every 36 cases.

Mexico #1, 1 death every 11 cases.

USA, land of the Obese, 1 every 59 cases.

Israel, 1 every 131 cases.

Where are the other countries getting their vaccines from?

same place as we are pretty much....

Some teachers are doing "live" lessons streamed to the kids and making themselves available via a messaging platform to explain stuff one to one that hasn't quite sunk in.

Others are recording short videos with no interaction, some are setting quizzes and some are merely telling kids to go and read x y z books.

My nipper is year 11. Everything done in MS Teams. Every lesson kicks off with the teacher on video. They go through what they need to do, they do it and then come back on vid to go through it.

It's quality really, given the circumstances. Nipper's loving it as she rattles off the work in half an hour and then spends 20 mins every hour pissing about on her phone

3 hours of live online teaching today, few teething issues but hats off to the school and teachers, they’ve nailed it.

I had to invent my own mythical creature (I came up with a CrocoDilloPig) and do my 7 times table.

Im knackered.

Clapping for heroes starts again this week.

Just out buying some fireworks , we are having a pyro party so everyone knows I am more grateful than everyone else. Our lass is cooking a lasagne as assume there will be a street party.

I didn't clap first time around.

I won't be doing it when the mercury is in the negatives.

I will quietly appreciate them from the sofa.

I joke about teachers because I’m jealous of their holiday entitlements but anyone who does teaching gets a doff of the cap from me because fuck that for a job. Kids are wankers, they’re underpaid and highly under appreciated.

I’ve just been reading through my anarchist cookbook, gonna blow a small hole in Lostock just so the NHS know I appreciate their efforts

So are France. That can’t be right either?

Zero hours live lessons so far for my lads class.

Gets ms teams updates with PowerPoints and activities etc. But no live conversations or videos with the class.

Hoping that changes given what everyone else is saying they're getting.

Even this is 100x better than what we had in lockdown 1.
