The sequels are utter shite an' all.

I went to see the second one at The Printworks, I fell asleep during it - that may have also been the jumbo cup of Tango (or Fanta) I tipped a half bottle of brandy into.

its used earlier in total recall (but the colors are reversed), where they get that fat gay guy (dunno , its his voice)  and sharon stone back to mars , arnold pretends to take the wakeup/suicide one, but spits it out and shoots the fat guy in the forehead.

theres a german film (its in english , and based around LA) from around the same time called the "13th Floor" came out about 6 months before or after the matrix.

thats based on a book called simulacron3 (all very jean baudrillard or whatever)

i never got the realworld / computer sim disconnect in the matrix, the end bit with the TV screens in the white room and the white beard guy and the black lady !? were all the zion techpunk bits a computer game too ?

found Tron easier to follow from a "computer programs as people" point of view

think existenZ came out around the same time too.

I'll be back in a tick, just off to the corner shop for 2L of Tango and a half bottle of Three Barrels...

There's a whole genre of literature dedicated to being in a virtual world.

Doesn't a big proportion of David Icke's lunatic fringe believe in simulation theory?

Christ how old are you?

Edit..Sounds like that was linked to the pubs. I meant what age group are you in? I thought you were just a little older than me.

Got underlying health condition so jumped the queue.

aye, but i still cant follow the matrix.

johnny mnemonic was cool , funny that keanu reeves is in that and the cyberpunk2077 game as theyre both about running  smuggled data in folks brains.

i remember a science experiment trying to prove this , i think it tried using the eclipse or shadow off the "black Hole" to show differences in the reflection or shadow .

boltzman brains , Godel , etc are all god/sim/science/thesoul/conscience related.

i remember being shocked at the amount of Hard Drives they (the black hole guys) were using to store the data.

i forget most of what it were about, like the name , summat about a unexpected delay in what youre looking at , i think.

Antiviral is a film about getting diseases off of famous people , its by david cronenbergs son. to pull it back round to viruses..

Spoke to my GP 10’mins ago . Allayed my fears somewhat and said that I would get the appropriate level of staff there and precaution to deal with any unforeseen reaction and they would be well prepared

said I can go for my jab next week if I wish. I’ve said I will let them know on Monday.

To be fair that is probably the most feasible of their beliefs

I remember watching the Matrix once.
Cant say I understood what was going on. Just observing you and Youri conversing reminded me of it.😊

Your mention of experiment reminded me of the last day before Christmas at BIT in 1980. Went to the pub at lunchtime. 4 pints later, back to class for an HNC engineering science lesson with only me there. Thought he’d send me home as all the rest were still in the pub but made me do some experiment involving a bunsen burner and unknown chemicals. It’s a miracle me and the building are still here.
Totally unrelated some may say but it was the first time I wore a face mask.

I do have a will BD. It’s spread across a few different beneficiaries.

my work life insurance alone is reasonably substantial at 9x my annual salary. Also have a private policy albeit smaller.

mrs esco will be very well off if the covid jab does for me.

Not queue jumping if they've told you to make an appointment.

😁

It's one of life's quirks that folk can be worth more dead than alive.

Remember my old fella being insured for quite a substantial figure when flying abroad on company business.

I always though the data showing transmission in pubs and restaurants was so low a bit suspect. It just seemed completely at odds with reality.

This should be a national fucking scandal. But an episode of Oprah is more important apparently.

"Eat Out to Help Out the spread of the virus".
