That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

  • My uncle lost his battle to this in Royal Bolton this morning, so he will be one of today’s numbers.  last rites over the phone held by a nurse with no family there. made an exception yester

  • I’ve sat with my mum who is slipping away, literally breathing her last today. She idolises the Queen, and whilst she didn’t in all likelihood hear that, I know she would have loved every single

When I had my first, 22 Jan, they said they’d be in touch in “about” 12 weeks. They also pointed out, if it gets to 12 weeks and I’d heard nothing, please don’t try to make appointments, they won’t forget me.

Had mine on Jan 27th - was given an appointment card for 12 weeks, same time - same when my mum went the week before.

Obviously more efficient in Howfen.......

I’m not sure. I only found out I was having number one jab at 18.45 on 22 Jan when I got a phone call inviting me to attend Waters Meeting. My name and number had been given to a nurse there who was dishing out the unused doses of batches with use by dates on that day. I asked if wife could come too and they said yes.

When I got there they tested my temp, watched as I sanitised my hands and took my name, email and NHS number.

I got a date and time for my second jab when I went to the Etihad site

Aye, they're a bit different in Howfen 👍

As it stands, the next group after the 50s is everybody else

Everything I’m reading says that this isn’t right.

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) says the next people to be offered the jab, from around mid-April, will be, in descending order:

  • All those aged 40-49 years
  • All those aged 30-39 years
  • All those aged 18-29 years

Whew, vaccine after effects hit me overnight! Barely slept and aches and chills all night. Sitting here an absolute husk of a man. Will be reet tomorrow ofc.

Nah! The person who called the place to get me an appointment will ‘remind’ her contact.

I guess thats when the vaccination take up figures will fall off a cliff, can’t imagine a large percentage of 18-30 year olds bothering being vaxed.

They will if need to prove the vaccine to get in pubs.

Went out before to pick up some home test kits for one of the kids from Mere Hall, as I was leaving one of the volunteers (?) on the gate was just sat there without his mask on.

The mind boggles.

Assuming the gate was the gates outside, why do they need a mask, out of interest?

There were two of them sat next to each other, is that not a mask wearing scenario ?

If not then I apologise to the lad unreservedly.

Did you ask them for proof they were from the same family or bubble?

No, just thought it looked shite with them being staff at a testing centre and came home, got pissed, and posted it on here and would never have thought about it ever again had Carlos not quoted me.
