He had it twice? And after the jab?

Is his nickname Lucky?

The vaccination programme has got us here. We can see that by looking at the EU.

But I agree that we should come out of lockdown cautiously.

Glad your brother isn't too bad.

Good timing to get that report in now, in 3 months we will see a v shaped U.K. recovery and many EU country’s heading way above our death rates.

They aren't going above our death rates despite a 3rd wave. At least for their sakes I hope not.

We’re 7th highest in Europe now.

Deaths per million.

Few things that I hope will be the road map to normality, or what we can...

School bubbles disbanded.

Testing for a - symptomatic over with.

Masks no longer required in shops.

Lockdown has ended, it's simply "places are shut", hardly anyone is following it anymore, people just going about day to day.

We've been "isolating" since yesterday dinner. Lads got a tickly cough and runny nose. Yesterdays test came back inconclusive and despite having a negative lateral flow test (Me and Mrs also tested negative), he won't be allowed into school without a PCR test result. So he's been for another test today (3rd in 2 days) and hopefully we will get that back in the morning.

Brazil is absolutely fucked.

This is what happens when you have a lockdown sceptic in charge, and why they can get in the fucking sea

How is their death rate still lower than ours and many others? I’m assuming it’s the way they record their deaths?

The schools have completed their testing, they have now been given kits to home test, but they don't seem to have to log them on the official Government covid website, it they test positive, they just inform the school and self-isolate, let's hope these kids are an honest bunch 😏

I got given a pack of 8 and told to test twice a week.

Hopefully infections should drop this week.

We have to log my lad's home test results with school, government and some additional email too.

Or the way we've recorded ours?

Any death within 28 days of a positive test = Death by Covid?

A lot better than it was- no time period initially.

At a quick glance France, Italy, Spain, America are just a few of the others they are lower than.

I wasn't passing judgement, I was asking a question of whether the way we count makes us look like more are dying from it than they really are.

Possibly

We’ll only know when we do the “excess deaths” tally up at the end

Have to have some metric. Not possible to pm everyone.

Some might die from complications beyond 4 weeks- not sure what happens then.

It's why all this analysis with other, similar, nations is unhelpful.

A load of factors clearly evident that contribute, and we have a lot in this country.

My bad, I agree with that, I don’t think for a minute if we recorded deaths like other country’s our death rate would be like it is.

tough one

the mrs nan got it, and she died 21 days later

was definitely covid though that gradually finished her off

but if you got covid today, and ran over next week, it probably wouldn't be classed as covid
