That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

News said France has two thirds of its AZ vaccines currently sat on the shelf. In Germany three quarters.

Muppets.

The French are fucking thick/stubborn at times.

I expected better of the Germans though.

We’ll see!

He will make a trade off; the bad news is no y viva espana, but we’ll open up a bit more quickly at home.

Or slowly if France visitors import this SA variant in any numbers?

Given the likely explosion in pub/restaurant visits etc when we do reopen, I'm sure they have learned from the eat out to help out scheme and will want cases to be genuinely low before such a move.

My sister has been told owning a place makes no difference, she’ll be happy to hear otherwise as it’s probably like the inside of the Temple of Doom by now

Friends in Spain.

I think I read that the Eat Out scheme was not even marginally responsible for the uptick in Autumn/Winter?

They’re allowed in from the UK??

Spain looking good at moment cases very low.  Property owners are allowed into Spain, I’m thinking 6 weeks in the sun will be about right. 😎☀️

159 deaths yesterday

Where on earth did you read that? Oh and kids going back to school was clearly a massive factor.

This was prior to U.K. making it illegal to fly. That has to be lifted first, which I’m sure will happen.

Ah ok

I thought you meant homeowners could go anytime.

Shes even considering sailing her boat to Spain at the minute

So can we all agree it is the Belgians fault?

Now we have killed off loads of oldies in wave 1 & 2, and the rest are now vaccinated, who is left to kill?

I wonder if these varients are causing concern on the continent?

Aye

Recall reading the at the start of the year the Kent one was more "deadly" and affected younger people, 30s-50s, more than previously

They're not moving anything forward whilst those age groups haven't been vaccinated

Deaths might not be as much of an issue but hospitalisations still are

And it's the Kent variant that has seen a surge in Italy sending them back into lockdown

Got to get them cases down if we want to move forward, can't see BJ fancying getting the timings wrong again and having to do a U-turn

I believe less than 500 people under 50 have died from covid in the UK

Rees Mogg and his brood of weird kids are supposedly on their jolliies in the South of France as we speak.

Might be bollocks, but that's the rumour.

Gargantuan shitpile that he is, surely even he wouldn’t be that thick?

I reckon that’s bollocks.

There would be no defence, not that it bothers this lot, like.

On the flip side, I hope he is and he gets sacked then chucked in the Thames the grotty cunt.

Impression I get is that it looks like if you rent it out and are going across to sort the business side of it out you may be allowed but not for a holiday.

it will only cost you 5k .... fill your boots

Govt pushing a law through saying £5 fine for anyone travelling abroad for a holiday.

seems a little strange given we are due to be able to travel in a few weeks.

Unless of course, that’s not going to happen 🙄

It looks like it might not be lifted any time soon unfortunately.....

It’s an opportunity

An opportunity to invest in New Britain.

Lets stop giving our hard earned cash to those swarthy, boneidle Mediterranean layabouts.

Lets keep it on our island. We need it as we stride towards the milk and honey.

An opportunity to invest in apprenticeships for our beleaguered home tourist industry.

Negative Nellies need not apply.

So this new law is until end of June?

It is but can be brought forward, that’s ok for me as my Flights booked middle July.

Of course government are playing hard ball for now, they don’t want to make it easy for folk to travel, many folk will just book a holiday here but I fully expect flights to be departing these shores come July & countries all across Europe welcoming Brits with open arms.

Nothing has changed since the day BoJo set out the "roadmap"

No overseas travel until May 17th at the earliest.

But, because there's due to be a first easing of the restrictions on Monday, the Govt are keen to reinforce the no travel until May 17th message and have decided a £5k fine is the best way of reminding people.

People are posting links on here and elsewhere on social media to the extent of someone says this, someone says that, we're barred from travelling until June/September/November etc etc

IT'S NOT NEWS! April 12th is the day the Govt will announce whether May 17th is green light day or not. Until then, everything is supposition and/or a regurgitation of old stories. All the media outlets have travel writers with fuck all to write about, so we're seeing a constant re-hashing of old stories.
