That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

2 Covid stories this week.  Firstly, a 52 year old lady that died at home of stomach cancer.  Her 3 Daughters were with her for her last few days and 2 of them tested positive for Covid.  The GP has listed Covid on the MCCD despite the deceased never actually being tested!  Secondly, an 89 year old lady that died at home 37 days after being tested positive for Covid.  Again, her GP has listed Covid on the MCCD.  Both families accepted what The Registrar told them and have only raised concerns after registration.  These 2 incidents make a mockery of the figures we are constantly being presented.  I know Covid is real (I've had it), and has taken many, many people away from their families, but instances like this make me doubt a lot of what we're fed by the spin doctors.

Other than speed of processing the deceased, I’m not sure why GPs would be adding to the Covid19 statistics. (Death due to covid requires only one GP signature. Other causes still require two independent GPs to sign)

conversely, my uncles folks both died just before Christmas

his dad got it in hosptial, came home, gave it his mum, they both died a few days later

they put him down as Covid, but for some reason, put down some other condition his mum had as the cause, even though it was cearly not

if its COVID do the government not pay for the cremation ???

Does it really matter ? 80k excess deaths last year. Does it matter if a few recorded as Covid were n't Covid and the same the other way ?

No, not really. Clearly exactly information would be preferable, if only for the scientists, but not the end of the world.

Fucking loons. They had 35000 new cases yesterday, and have just announced lockdowns for various regions.

Meanwhile, Germany says insufficient vaccine to prevent 3rd wave- well tell fucking Macron then!!

The government will pay a portion of any funeral through the DWP. You’d need to prove you satisfy the requirements; benefits, no savings, no affordability through relatives. They’ll come back for repayment from any will though.

We mock them, make derisory comments about them, tut and grumble about them, call them all kinds of names.

Yet we cannot wait to be amongst them.

We are a strange bunch, the Brits.

Brits don't particularly want to be amongst them imo, we just have an insatiable appetite for drinking beer in the sun.

The bloke who’s a qualified nurse who works for me up in Scotchland has been jabbing folk two days a week. Increasing number failing to turn up so they just phone the local police stations towards the end of the day and tell them to send folk down for a jab. They are only wasting about 2 or 3 doses a day out of thousands. Beggars belief that other countries are fucking around. Have to say we’ve got this vaccination strategy bob on

Was one of the 660k today.
Cap doffed to the staff and organisation at Breightmet fold medical centre, as it seems with other places, absolute clockwork

Me and the mrs had our this afternoon at Thicketford road

they said they had most no shows today after this weeks bad publicity

Seeing as folk don't like anecdotal information, I'll stick to facts

6 surgeries feed into that centre

There were a total of zero no shows from one of the six surgeries

FACTO

What a complete cluster fuck in Europe, 3rd wave hitting, low uptake of vaccination on top of limited supply, Boris should offer an olive branch for any EU country to join the best union. 🇬🇧

So you think France, Spain, Germany and many others should join us in some sort of Union or community?

What could possibly go wrong?

Unlike mentally challenged people such as yourself, I'm not a "fan" of any Politician or Political Party - domestic or otherwise. Your insight into the personalities of fictional Coronation Street characters appears to be far more informed than anything else you post on here.
