E mail to all Season ticket holders and an announcement before KO at the first game. Simple. Give over. That's never going to happen, or nor should it need to just so that someone in the stands knows whether they should boo or not.

It’s not about whether they should boo is it, it’s informing fans why the players are doing what they’re doing. Millwall did it the other day when they linked arms. It worked. They didn’t tell them why they were kneeling, they got booed.

But like you say let them do what they want but there can’t be any complaints if there’s booing unless the player/club has made it clear why they’re kneeling. jmjhb
Do you think this 5-10 second act will continue to ruin peoples' day when the pre and post match rituals of sessions in the pub return? If they're going to explain the reasoning for a 5-second action on the website, I want an explanation of every goal celebration too Edited December 10, 2020 by jmjhb

Seems a bit daft to me. Because the club community officer has said kneeling in support of BLM? So it’s not an assumption really. But if the club don’t want that stigma of fans booing, which I’m sure they don’t, then issue a statement or do the linked arm stance. (See Millwall)

Maybe clubs can publish a list of each squad member and their reasons and once this has been published then fans can point at specific players and boo. They'll need to be quick though to get it done in 5 seconds. Rapid fire booing. ... OR the fans can just respect it, or ignore it, or mutter "wankers" under their breath for those 5 seconds and then just get on with their lives and there is no controversy and the world is a nicer place again. Deary me Ok imagine being Sharon, you’ve seen the uproar that has been caused at Millwall. They nipped it in the bud pretty much straight away but that stigma will stay. Now as the owner of the club surely you must be thinking “I don’t want my club being associated with booing, it’s obviously unclear what the message is so let’s issue a statement that says kneeling covers all colours/religions” If a player wants to come out and say I’m only kneeling for blacks they can do (they won’t) Until it’s made clear, which is massively obvious it’s not, then you can always expect a boo from some. If Sharon has a social media rep they will be able to relay to her what some of the BWFC fans groups are saying with regards the matter

Maybe they dont like the fact the gesture continues to create divide on the issue when in their own personal lives its as multicultural as you get down then there? All one big community, a masively diverse mob of lads that have travelled the country together, best mates, family members, mixed race familes etc, all one big strong community that have a reputation for just that. Black, white, indian whatever theyre all together. They support black lives every single day and vice versa. They go to the match and youve got players that far from detached from any life struggles making gestures, supporting a movement that for them simply isnt there. Youll say its ignorant to think like that, but its really not. Its life. Its a section of life, stop justifying pal. Its ignorant to think life is like that....oh Your experience is so narrow in what is being discussed. Im not saying its not valid, but this isn't about what you think it is. Most people can see that kneeling is associated with BLM and many fans aren’t supportive of certain elements of that. People can say “oh but kneeling is against all racism” yet you have the media, players and our own club community officer saying kneeling is in support of BLM what are we to think? The club statement is from june Maybe we need a new one
