I slammed a door in his face once when I was a kid, by accident - at Lewis's on Piccadilly Gardens, he looked very put out, even though I apologised. He was dressed like Baldwin.

Me and a mate were going in to try on the little old lady wigs, two longhaired lumbershirted biker jacket death metallers parading about in grey curly perms...

They'd chuck us out pretty promptly, dunno why as we handled them (the wigs) with care and our own hair wasn't greasy, on the contrary, most grebs are very fastidious about their locks, Friday night Sparrows or International II gigs would reek of fresh Timotei. Simpler times - we made our own entertainment back then.
