According to Wiki there's been 15 wars fought by Israel on the gaza strip and I don't think hostages were the reason why they all started

Hostages per se weren't the cause of this one.

An invasion and slaughter of people was.

Rinse and repeat, with slight differences, for conflict before and later.

Aye and hostages won't end this one

Netenyahu isn't interested in the hostages

Yup, he's interested in keeping in power and there is only one way to do that.

Naive to suggest otherwise.

Only one way to find out.

Last time there was a ceasefire was when hostages were released

There was a planned second phase where more would be released arranged by Trump

Netenyahu tried to renegotiate the second phase to say they could still go to war even if all hostages were released

To put pressure on Hamas to sign it they stopped humanitarian aid getting through

When Hamas refused Israel ended the ceasefire

They've made it clear this last week they plan to occupy Gaza and take it for themselves

As though it wasn't obvious that was the plan all along

Simples.

On the wider issue of abuse of settlers, as I've said before attempts have been made over the years to resolve it, and agreements made.

In more recent years, the Israeli population has become less committed to the likes of Netanyahu, and arguably more moderate.

With Saudi close to agreeing the recognition of Israel before this conflict, there was more chance than ever of stopping these illegal settlements, theft of land and abuse of those who've been there for years.

Then Hamas (Iran) put paid to it all.

What a dismissively ignorant & naive view of the rise of the extremist settler movement across the West Bank.

These people are taking land at the quickest rate in decades, they are more emboldened than ever. They are being funded by their own government & protected by the military. The Saudi deal wasn’t going to help put a stop to them.

Also worth pointing out that many of the hostages families have been highly critical of Israel’s tactics as a means to secure their release.

These people are remarkable. Unfathomably brave.

Have a listen to a British Doctor telling you what's happening on the ground.

These people are incredible. Likely have families of their own at home.

Just goes to show that it’s a total myth that Hamas control all the information coming out of Gaza.

IDF said targeting dozens of children, patients & hospital infrastructure is necessary for 1 target. Grim bastards.

Won't even bother. Typical bleeding heart liberals stupid enough to put themselves in the line of fire.

Foolhardy not brave.

What fucking nonsense.

It is the fact that he is also interested in the complete elimination of Hamas which you seem to have a problem with?

Have you noticed how many of their ninja turtle impersonators look emaciated? That is where the food is going.

No, just the way he's going about it

Spot on.

Let’s say Hamas never release any of the remaining hostages. I honestly think #theusuals on here will be fine with the continued bombing and the blockade of aid by the IDF and won’t care how many civilians die. When is enough enough? If 80 yesterday wasn’t then ultimately are you ok with all 2.1 million eventually being murdered. Is that ok? Or do you have a number where even you might start squirming even a little bit? Or do you not care? Tell us all what those civilians can actually do to save their lives and those of their children?

I’ll go and find another picture of tumbleweed.

If you'd taken the time to listen to them, then you might think differently. There's nothing about what they say that makes them sound like 'bleeding hearts' or 'liberal' or even political really.

They're intelligent people, on the ground, describing their experiences.

If Bertie is a grief junkie for reading the news. What would that make people who get paid to go to these places?

Neither of you are, just pointing out the daftness of your comment 😊

What the fuck 😂😂

Watching the beebs dedicated news feed all day is hardly reading the news. And not a clue what either of it has to do with someone going to these countries to work.

What an odd comment
