And before the usual suspects deflect and distract, of course the remaining hostages need to be released immediately. And of course Hamas are evil.  See - it is possible to condemn both sides.  Why don’t you try it?

Almost certain that there will be tunnels not yet destroyed or known about, or other "hiding" facilities.

If the Israeli PM wants to go further as he has expressed a wish too, then I would imagine a shift in approach at some point, with troops going in, and not just airstrikes.

The hostages were taken to allow Hamas to utilise this playbook. 

They knew full well they would get a twatting, and so took them in addition to the killings.

Can't remember from where, but I did read an article that explained in great detail how they would use the situation, through the media, to create a false narrative. 

One interesting side note is this arson attack of the PM's properties.

Briefly saw something referring to as it having state involvement. 

Getting ahead somewhat perhaps, but if this does end up being linked to Iran, then that may be a bit of a game changer that sees that nation, and its proxies find themselves in a bit of a tight spot.

Well if they don’t maybe countries, like the one we live in, will stop supplying arms to Israel. At the moment they think there’s a justification for it.

without a doubt, they'd be gutted if all the hostages were released. The current situation suits Israel, as they get to keep indiscriminately bombing the fuck out of the place. They're probably quite upset that there are still actually a few buildings that look to be standing.

I actually feel sorry for the "average" Palestinian, as neither HAMAS or Israel seem to give a fuck if they're getting blown to pieces on a daily basis

As long as the palestinian terrorists hold hostages there is no chance of an end to the conflict.

During the recent period of hostage releases there was a ceasefire & palestinians started returning home but as soon as the palestinian terrorists stopped releasing hostages, the conflict resumed.

According to Wiki there's been 15 wars fought by Israel on the gaza strip and I don't think hostages were the reason why they all started

Simples.

On the wider issue of abuse of settlers, as I've said before attempts have been made over the years to resolve it, and agreements made.

In more recent years, the Israeli population has become less committed to the likes of Netanyahu, and arguably more moderate. 

With Saudi close to agreeing the recognition of Israel before this conflict, there was more chance than ever of stopping these illegal settlements, theft of land and abuse of those who've been there for years.

Then Hamas (Iran) put paid to it all.
