Supermarkets seem quite relaxed (other than usual Xmas stresses. they’re making no signs of anything incoming which they are always at the front of the queue for in terms of early knowledge. that’s not to say it’s not coming just would expect them to be reacting accordingly and they’re not at present. Love zoom calls, larger meetings fine face to face. If you cant do most of what needs to be done in 40 minutes, then the meeting is too long, unless you are looking at longer term strategy with multiple departments. The days of the endless face to face are numbered and thank fuck. I can actually do my work. Quote

On that, our new CEO came in before the pandemic and made huge changes to the way we work by removing things just like you mention. Many have done so now because they have to but we were doing it already 2 years before. He also has a pet hate of PowerPoint presentations which is music to my ears as a techy, the tool of tools in our business. Quote
