This bending of the rules thingy, I'm sure people did (well there were fines etc) but overall people were pretty good. Enough to drive down the spike.

I didn't break a single fucking one of the rules. Stayed in, no groups, when I could met small groups outside for a beer. Didn't see my family for a year, picked the kids up as allowed, no long journeys, worn a mask even when I didn't have to and I'm massively pissed off with the party or rather I'm pissed off about the lying to our faces.

EDIT: To add, I'm lucky in that I don't have to leave the house to earn cash and I'm 300 miles away from my family so my daily life isn't based around seeing them anyway.

I think I stuck to them, too.

Worked from home, never went to visit family or had visitors, didn't meet anyone in any groups etc etc.

I fucking loved it.

Typhoid Mary at our place is back tomorrow. Turns out as well as being an anti-vaxxer she is also anti-testing and so although she had all the symptoms she didn't bother with a lateral flow and just came in work instead and did that for a few days until she was so rough she had to ring in sick.

Some of the female staff who are still standing are arm wrestling to see who is going to give her a kick up the chuff.
