I turned up on the wrong day for my booked appointment, didn't matter.

Also, as long as its been 3 months since your last jab, you'll get a booster. Loads of places now doing anyone over 18.

It's important to get the booster as it's seemingly really effective.

Went for my pre booked booster on Friday but like others on here I've had a cold and persistent cough for a fortnight.  Several lateral flows have come up negative. They turned me away and told me to come back when I'm better. Presumably it's less effective if you've already some cold strain?

Shouldn't you have done a pcr?

I had a bit of a cough, didn't turn me away, just asked if I'd had covid in the last month. Not to me knowledge, and away I went.

Doing a LFT everyday at the moment as we're still out and about.

Walked into a pub yesterday with the kids for a drink and a bite to eat, went straight out again. Waaaaaay too busy for my liking at this moment, don't want to ruin Xmas and not get to see family again.

Sounds like that London’s riddled with Omicron

Moving to level 4 and Boris back on the telly later

I wouldn’t honestly be that confident.

Id let vaxxed people live as normal.

Not sure what the rationale would be for not allowing folk to fly.

No new restrictions. But I suspect a threat of some and this is the precursor to them coming in the next week.

You lot not been locked into your houses yet? :)

I did wonder if they might have shut schools a week early. Probably not too much done in the last week before Christmas anyway, and some have finished already. Just bolt on a few days elsewhere.

A variant that is completely exploding.

A variant that looks like it beats vaccines.

Other countries may not want us.

Im not an expert on viruses, so like everyone else am stuck with what Boris and co. decide.

That why we have to take a pre departure test and PCR on return and isolate until a negative test is recorded.

What other countries decide to do is up to them though. If they say no, then that's that.

Thankfully, it doesn't appear to beat our vaccines, just that they're less effective against it. Even then the booster is working well.

Reckon we'll be out of these restrictions in the not too distant future.
