On that, our new CEO came in before the pandemic and made huge changes to the way we work by removing things just like you mention. Many have done so now because they have to but we were doing it already 2 years before.

He also has a pet hate of PowerPoint presentations which is music to my ears as a techy, the tool of tools in our business.

If anyone says 'deck' rather than PP I immediately want to kill their first born in front of them.

We don't have face to face unless.its a start meeting, don't even pitch face to face anymore.

I've got two big in person meetings in Jan to go over the strategy as in its a presentation.

I can now do 3/4 zoom.meetings a day and get through twice as much work.

Our kids will think it's bonkers we worked in any other way.

Let them rot, vipers who have lived off our being forced into an office for too long.

I hope Pret go pop. And Leon. And upper crust and all the other over priced, shit product crap.

Whatabout when vax pass fucks up your industry too?

Also as much as I'm fucking done with this shit I don't want to see people unnecessarily on their arse because Boris is pressing the nuclear button to deflect from his being a bumbling shithouse

Hasn't done before now.

Just positive.

He was positive on 2 LFT’s earlier, so took him for a PCR at teatime, will get the result tomorrow.

Surely you have to be told whether you’re a steer or queer on the result so you can know what to do?

When the Mrs tested positive her boss did 4x LFDs that were negative but before seeing his mum for the weekend did a PCR and tested positive.

Godspeed Comrade!

In all seriousness. The Mrs tested positive on a Thursday and it wasn't until Sunday I got a headache and tested...both LFD and pcr at mere Hall. And that's without any 'trying to keep apart'.

Speaking to al medical professional today and telling her of my covid exploits... Her fella caught it and she locked him up in a bedroom away from the rest of the family until he recovered! 🤣 🤣 🤣

I think I’m clear. It’s hard to say because I’m generally impervious to proletariat infections on account of my noble Anglo Saxon heritage.

How you meant to find out what strain it is?

So normal covid, vaccinated but negative people dont have to isolate, but omicron ones do?

Fuck is all that about?

Think you'll be contacted if it turns out to be a omicron case.. (by which time you'll already have been here there and everywhere)

Thought for the day...

We're all being told to go back to WFH on Monday...

For all those businesses that survive on office workers for their trade like coffee shops, the nonces at Greggs and the ponces at pret... What the fuck do they do now.

I haven't heard of any furlough replacement yet. Unless I've missed it?

This was a gripe of mine on here during the first lockdown, which i fully supported

But there were folk (on here) who moaned about the hospitality industry being affected by lockdown but were delighted to be WFH with no second thought for the industries which rely on commuters and city centre workers, with no intention of going back to that norm

The difference being the businesses were getting mental low loans and the workers getting 80% of pay to sit on their arses while WFH twats built a garden bar out of pallet wood.

Businesses now don't get loans on the cheap.

Workers don't get 80% pay for sitting on their arses

And every Gammon worth his salt already has a garden bar

The general moan was about lockdowns killing the economy

But some economies mattered more than others

Not allowing people to go out was bad, not allowing them to go to the office was fine

In one 👏👏👏

I get my dinner each day at Odessa in Bolton. Been working from home for just short of 2 years. Walked into Odessa last week (with mask on) and instantly recognised by Alex the owner.

He took time out of his busy day to have a chat. Proper nice bloke who will have been hit very hard from all of this.

Ended up doing 2 days in work and back working from home again now.

Hope it doesnt last too long.

The youngest has had a bad cough all week but every test is negative. Had my booster on Tuesday and feel a bit tired today but that may be the bottle of wine I supped last night 🤨

Had my booster Wednesday. Headache, bit dizzy and tired yesterday. Bit of gut rot still, but not too bad.
