Covid-19

Slow news day, or end of the world?

”Aggressive” new variant has landed in Moscow. Makes people, even those that have been vaccinated, more poorly than previous types.

Time for Uncle Joe to push the button? Short term pain.

sounds like they know theyve fucked up.

too many "i were near 49 people coughing like buggery, but just tested negative" especially from peeps that have wine and cheese parties at "work" every other day while accusing you of intentionally killing grandma by passively catching a cold.

Stopping the need to isolate after testing positive seems really fucking odd to me.

I thought the same at first.

But, sooner or later that will have to be the case. You'd hope that people would just adopt a common sense approach should they get it and stay at home and work from there or take sick until the relevant time period has elapsed.

Whether that time is later this month or further down the line, who knows.

Mixed views from the medical bods as usual, and mixed views in the public too.

Hopefully the screening for new variants would continue as part of the opening up, to allow us to keep on top of things in the unlikely event of the emergence of a nastier strain.

I agree in that at some point we will just crack on but cases and deaths are still high.

Prince Charles has got it (Aids too) he went and coughed over his mum, gobbed in her tea, and put his aids jizz in her shepherds pie - which wouldn't work unless she ate it cold and had an ulcer.

He's not got it, never mind had it twice.  Lizards can't catch it. I thought you were smarter than that.

He is a pimp, that ring is inscribed with 'pimp 4 life', he turned out Diana when she was 16. He made her entertain up to twelve men a day, he sold her to Dodi Fayed, another pimp, for ten grand. He now pimps Camilla to showjumpers. He has AIDs as pimps must bum their stable to keep them in line. Balmoral is a brothel for scotchmen, including numerous tranny ho's, he wears his crown and a fur cape when he's up there. He uses a royal mace to discipline his sluts.

aye, deaths still high, seem to have upped to a steady 200-300 a day since the start of the year

thing is

whilst yes we do need to crack on at some point, I think the fact that folk are now catching it again is probably more a reason why they've scrapped it

maybe

if you can catch it more than once, we may as well all just go for it

There's loads of AIDS/COVID crossover conspiracy stuff doing the rounds, up to and including the side effects of the jabs proving that the vaccine is actually a strain of AIDS.

The people whose "eyes are open" throw in that Malaysian jumbo that got shot down in Ukraine taking the cure for AIDS to the grave and all of a sudden the dots start to join up for the tin foil lads.

I'm thinking that there maybe a couple of other factors involved in the decision too.

They've already said that eventually test kits will no longer be free; so allowing folk to work will perhaps put the onus onto companies etc to change their sickness policies and maybe pay for the kits themselves/allow working from home.

It's also coming up to spring, so if there is likely to be an increase in cases initially, then that might be mitigated somewhat by better weather. Get it done before next autumn.

Same as it's always been reported though right?

As in, would probably still be alive had they not caught it?
