A View From The Other Side

I realise some of you may have zero interest in this which is fair enough but from time to time I like to have a snoop on OppositionWays out of curiosity. Thought it was worth compiling some together which I'll do in this thread whenever I get chance.

Seems like Lincoln have some pretty level headed fans but then one or two absolutely bitter fuckers.

Pick of the bunch includes:

THE BITTER

Quote

How about 10 points deducted for every £million of debt a club has?
Wonder just how low these perennial cheats would drop?

Quote
Bolton stayed in Lincoln last night. Not leaving much to chance.

No that was so they could rack up extra debt.

Quote

Surely we can't lose to these cheats?
Why are they not on multiple minus points?

Quote

I'd rather be us than them. How long do they have to pay their debt?

Quote

The simple truth is, as much as the away fans won't want to admit it, we lost to one of those vile clubs tonight. One of those that has spent beyond their means, and clearly continues to do so.

THE PRAISE

Quote

Good game. Shit result.
By the standards of last season Bolton should be pushing for promotion. But then that was last season.

Quote

Beaten by the better team. Good to see a big away following.

Quote

FT. Good game. Credit to Bolton - they did enough to control the game throughout, although we had some bright moments, especially in the first half. They also scored at exactly the right time and managed the game out.

Quote

Bolton also look like a really good side who should be in the top half of the table.

Quote

I have backed Bolton to win the league as I think they are a decent team. They looked like a very settled team that are used to winning.

He got us out of league one, kept us in the Championship against the odds & only really failed when the ship was sinking financially. Yes he was a little direct & predictable, but I wish

Stockport are going to absolutely despise us forever now aren't they.

Add them to the list alongside Wiggin, Tranmere, Morecambe, Blackpool.

Nice to being viewing that little group from a Championship vantage point.

All little clubs in their rightful place.

Still can't quite believe they took off their most dangerous player. Well done lads 🤣

Cheers @Zog1 I'm sat at my desk, hungover, knackered, writing reports that no one reads and this has absolutely put a big grin on my mug 😀

The idea that we weren’t punished when we had a season of kids and journeymen and then had to endure League Two is just a nonsense.

Not sure if it will be reflected on their forums, but the Stockport fans we encountered after the game near Euston and again on the train back were all spot on tbf. Probably helped have a joint wonder at all the people wandering round in Arsenal shirts while they had a match ongoing.

Yep another skid mark club added to the list for eternity, Wouldn’t have it any other way

the EFL didn't turn a blind eye either, they wanted a stiffer punishment than the fine and suspended points deduction we got given by the independant panel

we didn't creep into the playoffs, we were top 6 most of the season

can't say I noticed numerous decisions going for us, it never feels like that for any fan watching any team

lots of late goals but that's not down to luck

we didn't have the luxury of playing against 10 men yesterday given it happened in 92nd minute

they also seemed to forgot that since we got taken over by FV, they got taken over by the bahraini lot and had cash pumped into the club that saved them from relegation then got them promoted with players on massive contracts by L1 standards

funny to think they are now frugal when the reality is the owner just wants the stadium and not spaff his money on football

Really their rediculous jelousy ridden comments don't merit a response.

Come on, where’s the Stockport forum quotes… 😂

Sod them, what’s Blackburn and Wolves saying.

Their owner is far richer than ours

It's just he's more interested in the rugby

I think they go down next season

Give us the full 7k behind that goal again.
