They were pretty magnanimous in defeat last night too, had a few wish is the best for next weekend.

Proper club with a solid fanbase.

On the whole, yes.

One or two young pissed whoppers trying to have a pop on the way out i saw. They were correctly laughed at and made to look stupid by ours though.

They (not sure whether our or their little scrotes) absolutely flattened a woman on the pavement when they were chasing each other playing tig after the game. Not sure whether she was badly hurt but they just fucking ran over her whilst chasing a lone ranger from the other scrote contingent.

They had a crowd gathering at the bottom for quite a period before the end, presumably to run on the pitch. They were too thick to coordinate their efforts though so the sporadic dozen or so all got nicked each time (including a dad and lad by the looks of it)

Looked to be quite a few objects thrown across in to our end, too.

On the whole everyone was fine though, and similar to @Traf I was impressed with how many stayed behind.

Half of our ground would have fucked off when the goal went in and the rest would have stayed to boo.

Both will easily sell 40k+ or whatever their full entitlement is. Bradford would make it slightly easier for people trying to sort coaches and minibusses from local companies.

Quote

Beating Bolton would be more satisfying. Losing to Bradford would be easier to take.

Let’s just win it alright

Quote

But imagine Bolton beating us, us outnumbered as usual. Them singing ‘Stockport get battered’…. As someone on here said a while back. That would be horrible.

We owe Bradford a defeat, they stole two off us this season without a fuss.

Quote

Be nice to take 20k + down for this, although I don’t know where they would all come from.

Our Wembley attendances are always pretty low - we have a fantastic loyal and hardcore support but day tripping Stockport based United and City fans with County sympathies seem completely unbothered about going to watch their towns team at Wembley. Can drag a mate or two to EP but none are ever bothered about a Wembley trip.

What did we take for Carlisle 16k?

Quote

f*cking Bolton. Should Bradford have had a pen before their disallowed goal? Definitely hit the hand but I can’t keep up with the handball rule these days.

If we play as well as we know we can we beat them, will we though?

Just looked on the Bolton forum and someone’s posted that they don’t understand why they are the home team (the League position thing) and go on to say they are pleased they won’t have to wear their pink kit; I presume they are mistaken and we’re correct.

Quote

Anyone seen any comments about Toals injury. Be lovely for their captain to not be fit/carrying something against our front line

Quote

Toal felt his hamstring and was taken off last night, so let's hope it wasn't just precautionary. Also Johnny Kenny will be missing.
Admittedly we're in a worse injury situation than they are, but every little helps.

Quote

I'd be staggered if we took 20k.  16-17k max.

Issue with having their seats selected automatically

Quote

2200 in the queue for Bolton tickets.

Going on now to see if they can select their own seats.

Quote

But charging £3 per ticket booking fee with no suggestion it’s going to charity unlike our 90p, at least we’ve got one thing right.

Quote

Just had a look at Bolton's forum, they've already shifted over 10,000, so things must be going more smoothly for them.

Quote

Not being able to pick your seat for a game like this is nonsense. The club need to hire some people who actually know what it’s like to be a football fan.

Quote

Bolton won’t sell out, be surprised if they get to 25k

Quote

I think they'll be very close to selling out if they don't. They'll take more than 25k

Quote

They sold 20500 for their home leg leaving 5000 empty seats. No chance they find another 16k when they couldn’t sell their own ground out. They won’t get close

Quote

did we establish if Bolton fans are able to select seats?

Quote

I believe they have the same issue but as they will sell more the lower parts fill up faster then opening up the cat 3 seats etc. Tried to look but its only open to ST holders seemingly, can't be arsed registering to take a peek when they go on general sale.

Quote

I've ended up with acceptable seats after dozens of filled and cleared baskets, but the seats I want will still be unsold.

People like to talk about football as big business, it's not, not in any competitive sense, a retailer who operated like this wouldn't last 5 minutes, and for all this looks like more a Wembley thing than a County thing, a property business that operated like this wouldn't last 5 minutes either.

Quote

This is where we tend to be disadvantaged over other clubs in the area. We don’t get many day trippers when we go to Wembley.

Quote

Back to the football, we're going into this in good form, 3 wins including 2 against a team we rarely beat, a nice gap between games and no new injuries, we should be feeling pretty confident, how come I'm worried sick?

Quote

I’d be happy if we took 5000 proper fans over 20000 with 15k of them being annoying nobodies who don’t even know who Matty Warburton is.

The attendance noncery that accompanies big games is one of the absolute worst things of such occasions.

I've had an email back from Tony at Wealdstone:

Hi Phil

Thank you for the below.
I’m really sorry but the Club have decided that they want to host Bolton this time round.
Personally, would have liked to have seen you guys again, it was a great day.
All the best at Wembley.
Regards

Early days but be interesting to know whether Toal is still a doubt for them, and unless I’ve missed something, Kenny won’t be available. Not sure what their overall injury situation is.

Cannot wait for this. Reckon we'll take 20k. Not looking forward to the 6am start!

Maybe we aren’t so different after all 😂

Just had a quick look on that site. One of their posters said today, 'They've sold 20,000 tickets already and they are not on general sale until tomorrow'. A couple of posts later someone posts, 'Only sold 20,000 tickets, which is less than their average attendance. Very poor', or words to that effect.

One of those posters is a gobshite. Guess which one. 😄

Both, for discussing it.

Now we know what kits theyre wearing.

Who gets the home dressing room? Im not sure if we are the home team you see..

Quote

So we're most likely taking less than we did for the Carlisle game? I'll be pleased if we stumble to 15k. Most who want a ticket will have got one by now.

I suppose we hadn't been there for a while but this is a much bigger game. 1 game from the 2nd tier and against a local rival(ish).

I enjoyed the crowd in the Luton game though tbf. Was a proper fans job around near me, didn't feel a daytrippers vibe.

Quote

Which is fine, just have this feeling that even if they do release it then it will be last minute and hardly anyone will bother meaning it will be pretty dead up there.

Quote

Bolton fan saying they've sold 20k.

Sounds like essentially they're in the same boat as us really in terms of not attracting the day trippers.

Quote

They’ve only just gone on general sale for Bolton. Up to this point it’s been their season ticket holders and members. Suspect they’ll get close to 30k.

Quote
Not sure they'll get another 10 thousand people who have not been to one game this season (presumably they have to be members to get a home ticket?).

But point taken, could see 25k.

Quote

It'll be more than that.

They've sold out lower and middle tiers (so around 22k) and are working their way through the upper fairly quickly - they may end up taking more than Luton did.

Quote

Thought I'd compare the Bolton ticket buying experience.
Went to website, choose block, choose exact seats. Very frustrating we can't offer that!

Quote

We really MUST beat Bolton…….(!)……just look at those fixtures next season if we do……AND possibly some great away-days at Stoke, Birmingham, Spurs (relegation pending)….AND CITEH!!!….(Justice for the 115 pending!!!)……COME ON COUNTY!!!
