A View From The Other Side

I realise some of you may have zero interest in this which is fair enough but from time to time I like to have a snoop on OppositionWays out of curiosity. Thought it was worth compiling some together which I'll do in this thread whenever I get chance.

Seems like Lincoln have some pretty level headed fans but then one or two absolutely bitter fuckers.

Pick of the bunch includes:

THE BITTER

Quote

How about 10 points deducted for every £million of debt a club has?
Wonder just how low these perennial cheats would drop?

Quote
Bolton stayed in Lincoln last night. Not leaving much to chance.

No that was so they could rack up extra debt.

Quote

Surely we can't lose to these cheats?
Why are they not on multiple minus points?

Quote

I'd rather be us than them. How long do they have to pay their debt?

Quote

The simple truth is, as much as the away fans won't want to admit it, we lost to one of those vile clubs tonight. One of those that has spent beyond their means, and clearly continues to do so.

THE PRAISE

Quote

Good game. Shit result.
By the standards of last season Bolton should be pushing for promotion. But then that was last season.

Quote

Beaten by the better team. Good to see a big away following.

Quote

FT. Good game. Credit to Bolton - they did enough to control the game throughout, although we had some bright moments, especially in the first half. They also scored at exactly the right time and managed the game out.

Quote

Bolton also look like a really good side who should be in the top half of the table.

Quote

I have backed Bolton to win the league as I think they are a decent team. They looked like a very settled team that are used to winning.

He got us out of league one, kept us in the Championship against the odds & only really failed when the ship was sinking financially. Yes he was a little direct & predictable, but I wish

They're not wrong about the goading the fans though.

They were all upset about it when Wigan did it but then go do the same for a draw...

I personally don't mind it, bit of theatre, but you can't pretend to be angry about it one week and then up to worse the next.

Not that it matters - and I don't think he should have mentioned it at all anyway - but Evatt's issue was with the Wigan players goading our fans after the final whistle, not whilst celebrating their goal.

I think it was heat of the moment for Evatt after the Wigan game, and I think most probably disagreed with his comments.

I think what we saw against Wigan and our goal last night, most people really couldn't give 2 fucks, it's part and parcel of the game, you give it, and you take it.

Not arsed having it done to us or giving it personally.

Hopefully we give it out to a few more teams along the way as it means we are winning.

Love pissing other teams off.

I'm all for it.  Any fan who gets too wound up over it needs to have a word with themselves.  It's only a game.

Did you just become a mum?

Nope.  It's always been my attitude.

You'll not see me storming out of a ground because of a substitution.

Apparently you're a shit fan if you don't piss your pants and scream that all our players are shit when we concede a goal.

Haha. I’ll do it again.

I think bottle throwing at certain people is ok too.

No apparent about it. He plays local rounders for half the season leaving the real fans to carry the Batton 😂

I think it had more to do with Wigan, just down the road compared to Barnsley over the hills.

Any reaction to the pies was going to be a big one.

I had a quick look on TykesWays last night, thought I was on here gor a minute with the knee jerk reactions and doom mongers. Shows fans are pretty much all the same

Don't think anyone "pretends". Just simple opinion, which as always, varies enormously.

Wigan players have always celebrated in front of our fans after a goal, its annoying but I have no issue with it. think it was more to do with it being the end of the game and they went straight over to our fans before anything else

It does seem odd to go to away supporters at the end of the game.

Players are pricks for doing it, ours included

Fans are pricks for getting wound up by it

Evatt is a prick for getting involved

To be fair some tried to be rational.

The main whinger is stuck in a time bubble. I suspect he thinks Anelka, JJ & Campo are still playing for us.

Are they not still injured?

Gave up after a few posts.

First one set the tone- I'd like to see the evidence behind his claims, and he needs to read up on the actual reasons for our points deductions.

I hope they get relegated for having sexual relations with sheep on the pitch at half time. I have no evidence for this, but it must be true.

Not when there is more of us than them. That’s why they do it.  Like a bird being excited by a 2 inch cock is wanting to celebrate with their little band of merry men.
