I like the middle 3 but agree on the others

Same. Can't really see why people get wound up by all this documentary stuff, I enjoy watching it (significantly less since McClean joined them admittedly) and the owners seem like genuine guys. I can't find any reason to dislike Parkinson either, felt he conducted himself well in an awful situation at BWFC.

You should take a look at Wrexham's forum. They're confused how another side can have more pulling power than them in the same division.

One fella even said they're a bigger club than us, in which even their own fans are ridiculing.

It's really quite entertaining 🤣

Was a bit of a giggle , someone even said they were bigger cos they had more followers on tiktok ffs.

Total respect for the man. Showed proper dignity when we were getting dragged through the mire.

I don’t like Parkinson. His championship team was one of the biggest eye bleeders I’ve ever watched. He made some baffling decisions and showed why he doesn’t manage higher than this division.

That said, the man gave us a promotion (don’t come round often) yes I think not going up that season would of been a disaster, it’s irrelevant as he did get us up. Not a chance I’d boo him (or anyone)

Half hearted clap from me.

By all accounts Parkinson, the man, is a good, pleasant approachable guy. He lives dhuring the season in the next village to me & he's highly thought of there.

He's a competent football manager with some success in the lower leagues. He acted with personal dignity in the Anderson years.

His 'football' though killed my desire to go to the Reebok. It was beyond dire. It's similar now at Wrexham where the midfield is by-pased by hoof, long ball & long throw. But it's working.

The fans are knobs with new-found delusions of grandeur. It was for decades a "my second club is ..." place, often that was Wrexham itself as Stretford, Everyon & Anfield were the main teams. Suddenly the whole town are Wrexham fans ... except, for most, that support is paper-thin. Let's see how it settles when no longer winning every week after Ryan & the other one, who seem genuine guys tbf, become too busy with other projects.

"Their fans are knobs" ...

As an example this is one suggestion "would be tempted to bid for Aaron Collins at Bolton given they have Charles,McAtee,Mateta and Collins now".

There you go.

Did tremendously for us when you look back at what he had to deal with. He should get a good reception from us

I've no problem with Parky as a person

He seemed down to earth and a genuinely nice bloke, but the football took shit /boring to watch/making it a chore to go to another level

Absolutely.

He was clearly mentally shot towards the end, understandably so given Kunterson, and I think that went through to the players.

Agree with that.  Great bloke who anyone would be happy to have as a neighbour/work colleague.

Terrible anti-football.  ALF on the left wing or on the bench spoiled many a Saturday afternoon.  Tom Thorpe, Jamie Proctor, Chris Taylor.  How the hell did we go up?!!

Signing the postman was inspired - a bit of a fluke really the impact he had given his modest career before and after, credit for the signing but no way do we go up if Morais doesn't sign.  We still nearly blew it with those painful end of season games - 0-0 v relegated Chesterfield, and Bury, 1-0 losses at Scunthorpe and Oldham.  Thank god for Vale's 1st half sending off in the "Wheater" game.

But happy to give the man plenty respect on a personal level when he returns.

That day at Burton. Jesus Christ.

Without suffering that, we wouldn’t have had the Wilbraham moment.

Sometimes you have to get wet to appreciate the sunshine.*

*No idea if I’ve just made that up or seen it on someone’s kitchen wall

Wasn’t someone on here giving him grief from. the stands.  That game was as bad as Oxford at Wembley

Got absolutely nothing against Parkinson. Gave us the final day promotion against Peterborough and the Wilbraham winner. Two of the most memorable games ever at the Reebok and the first to see pitch invasions.

The football wasn’t great, but I’m happy that he’s gone on to succeed elsewhere.
Every chance he gets Wrexham promoted from this level as he knows what it takes, before it all comes crashing down on him in the second tier.

Thought it really weird how he took a backseat in his last few games in charge; the start of 19/20 where the kids played.
I know youth/reserve staff knew them better, but he was still manager. Very unusual ending.

Nice bloke who got us promoted. So he deserves a nice reception from us.

God awful football though.

Arguably its more "as he's got a shit load of cash" 😀.  Its hard to assess his promotions at Bolton and Wrexham, because he had the budgets or existing players.  And he failed to get Wrexham up initially, finishing below Stockport and losing to Grimsby in the play offs.

Failed at Sunderland in this league and lasted a year.  Also at Charlton arguably, and Hull.  Great run in the cups with Bradford but in the last 15 years or so he's only really managed teams who are big fish in the division they find themselves in (other than championship with us).  It makes it difficult to assess his achievements but when he leaves Wrexham and IE leaves us I wouldn't want him anywhere near us again!
