I understood it wrong. I thought you had to sign them up for an online account first, but apparently not? Still not getting very far though. Managed to enter all their details this time through the membership route, but can't work out how to assign them to me. Fucking bobbins the bwfc website.

Once you are logged in and added the seats to your basket, click on your basket and it will say Assign or Re-Assign on each ticket

If you’re struggling to add them to your network, click on the little person icon to go on your profile > View Account Menu > Network > Add Members then add the CRN (under membership number) and surname for each kid (think you should have got an email with their CRN when you registered them, otherwise you’ll have to log in as each one and make a note of it on the account menu)

See above.... I sussed it eventually. Cheers anyway.

Bloody hell, you let me go to all that effort and everything! 😂

I clicked and signed up to membership on the day the club announced it ,

i recieved an email telling me that i am now a member ......when i click on memberships i get this message > Currently you have no active memberships. 🤷‍♂️

Says the same for me but I think that’s a quirk of the system that will need to be updated internally. It let me buy Stockport tickets so must be working somewhere.

I did the same, signed up, got a confirmation email, then got the same message saying currently no active memberships. I also tried using Leythers and Cheeses messages to sign up 3 new non-season ticket members and add them to my network , no joy. I emailed ticket office and got the message

If you're all season ticket holders for the current season then you do not need to make yourselves members.”

Need to go into ticket office and sort out. Not straightforward.

I’ve got Portsmouth to concentrate on. Next stop Portsmouth and Southsea 👏

Your membership profile is nothing to do with the account you use to buy tickets etc. even though you used that account to set it up. Go to the memberships page, and click the profile icon top right. It took me ages to realise that. Once you've "purchased" a membership, it's not linked in any way.

Anybody know if any other local clubs have this because if not it may push casuals towards the likes of Wiggin, North End and Rovers?

I’m not having it that some bloke from Breightmet who can’t be arsed, or is incapable of making himself a member will think “ You know what, fuck this membership lark, i’m off to watch Wigan”

Depends on your definition of casuals, as it were.

But where else are they going to go? Is it really THAT much of a hurdle, given they’re going to have to set up an online account in the first instance?

We moved from Burnden,  we appointed Megson, we went out of Europe and then lost at Wigan, we introduced a membership system.

Excuses not to attend games.

Arsed!

My god, wouldn’t be arsed losing them as fans then.

It’s a problem yes. Otherwise we’d of all signed up.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been more of a backlash over this scheme.

There has been, 1. Do you not read the thread? 2. Have you not seen the social media"s? Be reet though 'cos Supporters Trust are going to bring it up at their next monthly meeting!  PMSL

By thunder! You're brighter than that

They're not fans, they're floaters or casual attendees on a whim

As a club, we can't afford to lose easy money, from the actions of a few teens in one match, we've tarred every & any body with the brush. Though ultimately still not knowing who are sat in them crazy corner seats.

It's a farce whereby the many are punished by the very few

I never expected a boycott. Some would sell their kidneys if BWFC said it would get you a membership card. But I am very suprised on how many are diving head first in to this scheme. The argument "if you've not an idiot you have nothing to worry about" doesn't cut it with me. It's an unnecessary arbitrary power.

Down with this sort of thing!

That's 'cos you're an idiot who will do anything for a fiver

it's a bit much when you cant just get a non Bolton fan a ticket to come to a charity game without having to convince them to join a membership scheme. Nah I'll not bother then - that's the reaction.

Can see this affecting our attendances this season like Boxing Day for example.

You can buy a ticket for the charity game without a membership.
