The 1st goal came when we seemed to have lost our way again. Massive win & a clean sheet is nice.

Great performance and a much deserved win 

Trafford and Morley both had good debuts. Trafford looks a similar size to Santos and looks imposing. The defence seemed a lot more resolute today, not just because of the keeper but generally weren't exposed in wide areas. 

Got that bit of luck that we needed.

We need a better version of Baka. He's fucking useless. Couldn't trap a bag of cement. Wins nothing in the air and has absolutely no goal threat.

Did the basics & changed our game up for once. Big decisions paid off for Evatt but that's why he gets paid. Also beat a United scumbag. That'll do donkey, that'll do

A fair aggregate scoreline in a double against these this season. 

Santos was a rock today, much helped by how protected & compact we were... surely took the pressure off the keeper too. What a signing Fossey looks to be too, the lad jumps like he's on a pogo stick. Fair play to Morley too, the old cliche you don't shoot you don't score & luckily for us the rebound fell for Lee. Dapo will hopefully be refuelled by that too & gain some confidence back. He showed such good IQ to gamble on that & he got his rewards. Gillingham beaten again so hopefully add Dempsey to our squad for another leader & get out of trouble sharpish. 

Couldn't ask for any more. Miles more intent, less fannying and they all seemed bang up for it.

Rode our luck a bit with them having 600 corners but never felt too much under pressure.

Theres no flair in baka but this charles lad will need a player like him, knock downs and link up etc. 

Will be a fan favourite Charles will. Exaclty the energy and desire we need.

 

Well pleased with that. Looked composed and confident. Hopefully the start of a good run.

That feels like a very significant moment in our season. A bit like the home win over Orient this time last year. Not saying by any means we'll go on a run like we did last Spring but we needed to stop the rot and that's an impressive result against a form side. Two goals late in the game shows resilience and after recent showings a clean sheet is like gold dust.

A few more results like that and we can stop looking over our shoulders and planning ahead for next season. We are spending money in the transfer market too. Decent grounds for measured optimism and a celebratory pint or three.

Could have gone either way but we deserve a bit of luck.

Fair play mate a good call from you which I questioned. Dapo coming off the bench and netting the 2nd could be a master stroke in building his confidence back up.

different opinions , i thought lee was a yard behind their midfield most of the game.

Great result , wasn’t very confident the first ten minutes with the fannying about at the back putting pressure on ourselves. Thought the young goalie went on to have a decent game although they weren’t very direct ie a bit like us twenty five passes to get to the edge of our box.Plenty pressure from corners though , be interesting to know if they are any better than us at converting any.Lee mom for shear graft.Thought Bako put himself about without actually achieving much but ten out of ten for effort.

Morley steady debut , Fossey good again onwards & upwards.
