I think Apter as wide player , but not as a winger could come good. Seems rated by Charlton and Blackpool fans.

Harsh on Gale IMO, in last 2 games our attacks have mainly come down his side

However that might because as you say Burstow who is not a winger being on the right.

Thought Gale has been awful last two games; defensively he is a nightmare and wayward shots on goal going everywhere but on target; greedy get as well

Fans of other teams always seem to be fairly unanimous on their opinion of players.

I wonder if we'll ever have a player everyone agrees on?  And if we agree this week, we probably change our mind next week.

Apter's reputation may have benefitted from not playing at Charlton, while the team were on a poor run.

I’m torn on this. I agree his passing, crossing, shooting and general decision making has been shocking. However, he does seem to put the wind up opposition defenders, get in the right areas and create time and space.

This is a big half the of the battle, and it’s possible that, tomorrow, three or fours crosses/shots end up in the net.

if we’re replacing him, whatever with, it must deliver. While he’s creating as many as many opportunities as he is, there’s always a chance it will click.

I am not making him into a world beater and especially at Rotherham his final ball was awful……But…..he was our best outlet

Yep, and we will give him a pay-as-you-play contract.

I'm sure he'll got for that

I meant in any fee.

Not his wages.

I must admit it I don’t go trolling on other fans forums, so we might all be the same.

But the level of BWFC folk who think they know best and then flip opinion from game to game, is quite frankly fucking bonkers.

TBH fans of other clubs are probably the same.  But I think there is such a broad brush of "that club's fans think that winger they sold is great" that I take it with a pinch of salt.  Fans sat within 8 seats of me have about 4 different opinions of most players in our team.  And they change over the season eg Burstow up, then down, then up, then medium, then undecided.  Cissoko great then the worst player to ever wear a white shirt, then not so bad.  Dalby an absolute donkey, then the new SKD, then not too sure.  I could go through 90% of our squad, I'm not having it that fans of other clubs aren't similar.

He's also out for the season.

Massive loss, that. Certainly the better of the January signings. Up to Gale to step up now (assuming we’ll keep playing wingers)

Certainly injected some speed and effort down that left hand side. Will be missed.

Should ACD come back soon, Gale may prosper as teams can't afford to double up on both wings without leaving huge gaps.

Must of missed the announcement but been a let down apart from the Wigan game so won’t be missed unless we start picking up injuries

We've still got to pay for these lads though so rather have them available than not.

Yes better fit than not

but the whole last 2 transfer Windows have been. Pretty underwhelming must of had nearly 20 players brought in and non have performed well for a full season due to either injuries ( dubbery/ Dalby bit  unlucky )   or a constant lack of form players constantly in and out of the side the likes of burstow and Simon’s

the recruitment especially with the keepers 5 in a season is ridiculous.

I am not sure on this  Harkin seems to be approach of throw a lot of shit at the wall and see if some of it sticks

were still looking at evatts failures most weeks still  while players like Taylor and Christie are no were

  • 3 weeks later...

When are our two midfielders and Kenny likely to be fit enough to play; without them and what could be an injury to Dempsey it will end up like last season and we won’t make the playoffs

Both were out for ‘about’ two weeks, two weeks ago, think SS said both working in grass last week

No idea on Kenny.

Dempsey was awful Saturday

They are both unavailable Tuesday according to SS .

Dempsey got a bad knock on 15 minutes, surprised he lasted as long as he did.

He got the knock when that little bastard didn’t track back and pointed when his man was running free

If we're "down to the bear bones", good news upcoming.  McAtee available on Saturday v Huddersfield.

Not necessarily good for the team but at least if he plays we'll be able to have a heated debate about how much he winds fans up.

Has anything been said about Dempsey and whether he will be available next Saturday? And what about the other two midfielders?

I concur

If we get into the playoffs would Joel Randall be eligible to come back?

I had a dream a few weeks ago that he was the hero in the final.

Not gonna happen.
