It’s ok

Getting better for sure, but it wasn't the best of starts. With 2 down we just have to maintain the run rate without losing any more, but always an easier task with more wickets in hand.

Not sure why NZ elected to bowl - seems like a decent batting wicket - and the ones we gave away were mistakes rather than great bowling. Maybe they reckon it's going to get even flatter this afternoon?

Fantastic recovery from England - looked to be making a huge score and then a very tame ending as NZ came back into it.

Great target but gettable on this pitch.

Boult's 5 for 51 was outstanding in that carnage.

Flintoff is wicket-keeping and looks definitely in good form. I think all injuries are cosmetic.

He looks like they rebuilt his head with plasticine, poor chap.

England need to prevent the Kiwis from getting a solid start - and Young throwing his wicket away is a big help.

Blimey! 3 down already.

Your commentary sounds like my mate at the match. Always negative and reluctant praise for us. Is that you Les?

Luckily, he’s found a sympathetic (no choice) ear on his other side. I just ignore him.😊

Do you not read his match threads when the whites are playing?

Proper padded room stuff! 🤪

I do and I’m convinced he’s my mate Les! I spent 3 weeks in Oz for an Ashes series with him and I was suicidal! If it is Les, I apologise. 😊

I don’t think it is by the way but his Dad may have had a bike.

A bit easy in the end- did it quell the atmosphere a touch?

It did. All felt a bit inevitable, even the NZ batsman didn't seem that convinced.

Sky commentators (ok Nick Knight but dim) raving about ability of Sam Hain to make the step up to international cricket with immediate success.

Feels like it might be relevant to point out the Ireland attack is sub county standard overall.

ODI World Cup started today...

England struggling 188/5 off 34 overs...

Buttler just gone...

Long tail so hopefully we can get to 300 🤞

Think we'd have needed to get closer to 500!

That was a pasting and a half.
