Police liaison’s job is to do just this. Advise people how to operate their protest or whatever within the law. It seems pretty sensible to me. But you know…two tier policing…

People at this point will just see whatever they want to.

How is telling an armed mob to hide their weapons within the law ?  Honestly baffled by it.

Are they an armed mob? He’s telling them to ditch their weapons. Would it be better to tell them to all arm themselves?

Why would he tell them to drop their weapons off at a mosque if they weren’t armed. How on earth can you defend this?

A policeman saying to a group of blokes to 'leave their weapons at the mosque' is imo in some ways common sense as it is better for people not to be going into volatile situations

BUT

it is also dodgy if someone is carrying an offensive weapon with intent to use it then pretty sure that is a crime.

I do not think this means we have two tier policing he is imo trying to defuse the potential for more trouble.

Aren't they stood outside their mosque? I don't know btw, but context matters.

I won't be carrying a weapon so can not experience this two tier thing.

Why was hardly anyone arrested at Tommys event last week, if 2 tier policing exists there would have been lots.

This is what looks like community support copper saying whatever he thinks will lead to least trouble. I do not think this makes it official police policy. I daresay he will get a bollocking for saying something stupid when every fucker is filming him

There’s more to 2 tier policing than Tommy Robinson, football fans being a perfect examples. Im sure there’s many blacks, especially in London who have witnessed 2 tier policing.

Does it really matter where they are?

Well yes, because being told not to do something when they can only suspect some may be carrying is one thing.  Finding out they have away at Wigan is completely different and you know it, or should.

Admit it, you are just itching to find fault with "the other side" and are looking for anything to pin on "them"

Itching to find a fault. Theres literally dozens of video doing the rounds of Muslims attacks lads today. I don’t need to try and find anything to “pin” it’s already been done.

I’ve no idea what planet you are on to think it’s acceptable to put weapons in a place of worship for safe keeping. Absolutely baffling .
