Same here. We've let racism grow unchecked in this country for years.

Couple that with an extremely poor immigration/asylum system, perpetuated by successive governments, and a generally pretty poorly educated populace and this is where you end up. Especially when you lose the best part of a decade to fannying around about Brexit and throw in a global pandemic. 

A country having its narrative dictated by absolute half wits, and some relatively bright people using the half wits to make political capital and line their own pockets. 

I like Keir Starmer - I think his heart is in the right place and he's an intelligent man. But I just don't think he's a politician cut out for 2025. 

I'd give anything for a strong leader with a vision of hooe - that tried to bring the country together instead of prodding the hornets nest with a big stick. It needs a force of personality of personality right now. 

And we somehow have to get back to the days when we could disagree with each other about policy without dehumanising each other.

Been very quiet since no charges brought.

I didn't even know the authorities weren't taking any action until the other day.

That said, he cant help himself, and will give another opportunity to them to come after him again.

The country has voted and been told we’ll be getting less immigration for the past 10 years or so.
 

Add that to the grooming gangs and a load of unvetted blokes from the likes of Afghanistan coming into the country then you can why people in the country are getting pissed off.

I’m pretty certain that if they just stopped the boats and reduced migration like the country has voted then most people would stop giving a fuck about politics again.

I'm pretty certain they wouldn't. The same was said about Brexit - which was sold as a solution to all our problems. When that failed catastrophically, the likes of Farage just shifted the goal posts to migrant boats. If the boats get stopped, it'll be "legal" immigrants. Then it'll be native benefit claimants. Then it'll be the disabled. Etc. They will always find someone else down the pecking order to blame. And thick people will always believe them, whilst ignoring the ever-increasing wealth inequality that is actually ruining their lives.
