  1. Would you reserve judgement and wait to see the results if/when labour get in government? No, you will be screeching with the best of them that it will be the ruination of the country because it is simply red vs blue for you. We can wait and see but you can also have an opinion right know whether you think this is great policy or not. Do you think it is wise for a government to be borrowing more money than ever before at much higher interest rates? Do you think it is wise for governments to remove planning regulations to allow the destruction of native wild life and ecosystems? Some of these wait an see could mean we are fucked for decades if not longer, some times you need to act right away.

  2. Just under a year ago I bumped into an old friend in Tesco (booze isle). He told me his lad hadn't played a game in six weeks. His team had too many players, and they were picking 6 year olds 'on merit'. I couldn't believe it, and agreed to help him out until he qualified as a coach. They played their first game in November in a kit I purchased for them. We lost count of the score in a very heavy defeat at Moss Bank (I think). Today, I was almost overcome with emotion- they played the best football I've seen from 7 year olds outside of an academy. We played most of the game with two players less than our opponents, won 12-1, and could've scored 20. Six different scorers, and the other two came close. We passed, communicated, fought and were ruthless. A year ago, these kids wouldn't shout their own name. Never been as proud as a coach... An hour earlier I was coaching another set of 7 year olds who are too shy to shout their own name... Football; I fucking love it

  3. Tell me about it, the idea of us joining JPL was because we were meant to be using AJ bell as a central venue, that fell through and theres now no under 10 league, hence playing up a year. All home games 1pm at platt lane. The away games are everywhere. Barrow away is a 170 mile round trip for a grass roots game 😫😫 my wanderers season ticket will be getting lent out most weeks! Id love nothing more to get back into it, I loved it but I’ve just not got the time now, plus our Dennis is a rugby man now 🤦‍♂️😂

  5. Cant say Ive been less enthused about an England team. Only Bellingham and Grealish give me any kind of hope for Qatar. Said it before just imagine our back 3 against the pace of Rodrygo or Vin.Jnr? Or even Mbappe. Gives me actual nightmares. If you're going to be pragmatic and cautious you need to be rock solid. Its a disaster waiting to happen this. Really hope Im wrong, I like Southgate and bits of our sqaud are up there as the best in the world. That back line though

  7. This "virtue signalling" really has you rattled, doesn't it? If you're not interested, put the match on at 8.01. Or start following the Hungarian national side?

  9. Don't mind PNE as I know loads of Preston fans and they're generally alright. Also can't forget how they helped our staff out when the shit hit the fan a few years ago by donating £2000 worth of shopping vouchers, and tried to avoid any resulting publicity. https://www.lep.co.uk/sport/football/preston-north-end/pne-news/preston-north-end-believed-have-helped-out-unpaid-staff-bolton-wanderers-donating-ps2000-worth-shopping-vouchers-667023

  14. Lots of them around now, lots of large organisations making use of the apprenticeship levy so plenty of options. A large well known pharmaceutical company that has a manufacturing plant in Macclesfield offers a good range across different buisness areas from Scientist to HR. Applications and interviews will probably start opening later this year, early next so probably needs to get a wriggle on deciding and then getting CVs and stuff prepared.

  15. Been in a similar place with it. This current bunch now put us on a par with the likes of Bolsonaro and Trump on climate policy. Absolutely astonishing what they've scrapped and given licences to in the past few weeks. The likes of the RSPB have worked for decades to get some sort of protection for the fragile ecosystem we have left. What the Tories don't seem to have realised yet is that once that collapses then we can wave goodbye to many of our own crops and produce. Hopefully our new King will find it hard to remain neutral on this.

  16. 5 Things to Look Out For if you’re going to Victory Park today. 1/ The Pitch. New grounds man started just after the pre season friendly with us when the grass was patchy and too long. He’s worked wonders in a short time and pitch looks fantastic now. 2/ Connor Hall. Likeable ex Wanderer is slimmer and fitter than ever, scoring for fun this season. 3/ A Pint. Have a pint in the sunshine whilst watching the match. 4/ Ustabasi. Chorley player who has pushed further forward this season and getting into the box more, quick and skilful, enjoy his performance, will probably score. 5/ Ice Cream. Celebrate a home win with a cheeky ice cream at Fredericks on the A6 after the game. Believe me, it’s worth queing for. ENJOY YOUR DAY 😁

  19. That isn’t entirely accurate as Saturday services have invariably relied on over staff working overtime. The companies then banned overtime and then wondered why they had no staff at weekends. Given the whole dispute has been going on for 3-4 years, the only surprise is that it took so long to resort to strike action. The fact that the DfT have effectively been running the train companies for the last two and a half years should have been something they used to their advantage but they’re content to let it all rumble on with little will to resolve it. Whole thing is an absolute shitshow and the only people losing out are the paying customers.

Shitting on your customers, costing hundreds of thousands of people a fortune and causing them serious disruption every few weeks is taking the piss. They've made their point, now they need to get back to offering the fucking substandard service they've inflicted on people for donkeys years.
