I honestly didn't know Plymouth were that big. I mean i know there's not much competition down there for support but I didn't think they would outsell us.

Both clubs have sold a lot more than i thought they would tbh. Still a couple of weeks of sales to go as well .

Most people thought we'd have got 25k on maximum, good job we've blown that out of the water or Plymouth's support would've embarrassed us!

Stoke 2011 was a nightmare, but even before the drubbing it didn't feel too good being so outnumbered and seeing so many Stoke fans compared.

We're already about 6,000 up on our last visit with 2 weeks to go.

Biggest Wanderers crowd most of us have ever been in!

Always presume there’s lots of fans of other clubs that go along to these games to boost attendances.

For instance, how on earth did MK Dons v Grimsby get 57k fans on in 2008? Do they even have 10k supporters on between them for home games?

Grimsby can muster a crowd when it's a big game. Good following recently at Southampton.

MK is a big place, and perhaps as a one off novelty event, it wasn't a big surprise that a reasonable number turned out.

Precisely my point. Day-trippers and fans of other clubs going for the day out.

The turnouts for both clubs is amazing, but I find it difficult to believe that 23k extra  die-hard Plymouth fans have appeared that don’t show for home games.

They seem to be getting around 16k for a home game.

We're getting around 18k.

Similar totals and similar sales of extra for a cup.

Gonna be 70k+ on at this rate

Just with Tickets sold By the clubs yeh. We got around 78 between us and it holds 90. Take the segregation out but then add the corps and you’re talking 80k plus easily

We have a shit top capacity and 16k is sell out every game since November.

34k was same as 96 and 2016 play offs . Consider yourselves a bigger draw than Darlo and the real Wimbledon.

Anyhow where are the other 14k odd tickets??

Think the response for tickets is about right ,all my family are going where as its normally just me probably same for most bolton fans cos that’s all we’ve got really just bolton . No matter which ever way you travel out of of bolton boundary you have got Man U ,Man City, Blackburn, wigan bury then there’s Oldham Burnley, pne ,Blackpool, Liverpool ,Everton etc etc . Now Plymouth you’ve got all of Cornwall ,most of Devon. And a sizeable city Plymouth .don’t think we get enough credit for our loyal support .

Whatever the outcome, the atmosphere will be shit hot, it’s not that  often you get 30k+ supporters from each side at a game in the UK.

Certainly not the FA Cup final where each side are lucky if they get 25k each.

The North West area has the most professional football clubs in world football.

In an area as condensed as ours to pull the numbers we do and sit above everyone else aside from the 4 Manc and Liverpool clubs with the last decade we’ve had is incredible.

We’ve loads of fans from outside the traditional Bolton boundaries, I’ve always said it but outside of the big city clubs we are the best supported town team in the NW…. And out away support over the last few years trounces on the other local town clubs.

Sales of 32,000 is a really solid effort. We've two weeks to go. We'll now be in the territory of ticket sales to undecided folk who've been mulling it over. Might get up towards 34,000.

Doesn’t seem to be much take up on the seat plan so I reckon what we have sold so far will be more or less it. Tremendous though and 7000 more than I estimated

There are loads of expat Bolton fans up and down the country, myself and several mates included who might have moved away from the North West, but continue the support from afar.  The relative successes of the late 90's 2000's will have added to this I'm sure.

Think Wembley brings out a different audience. Mates of mates, family members etc.

I have my mum and sister coming. I’ve known my sister 37 years and only just found out she’s a Bolton fan who’s never been and my mum last went 25 years ago to a match.

Ive got a whole new buzz for this and bwfc in general after last night

Think id fell out with em a bit over ticketing at a couple of games plus it felt like we had hit a wall.  Injuries to GJ and JDB have been a massive hit

Weird what a draw can do

Cant wait now

I'm thinking similar.  Had a bit of a dread feeling for Wembley and the season in general with the team being so poor recently.  But the way we played last night for the last hour, plus the atmosphere in our end, was a great pick me up.  It seems reasonable to compare the size of the pitch and stadium last night with Wembley and hope we can replicate that standard of football in that environment.

Its things like that where you realise this is a big game.  I'd take winning this match and failing to get to the play offs.  Not saying I'd take this cup over promotion obviously, but given the play-offs still means no promotion for 3 of the teams (and a crushing defeat at Wembley for one), I'd take the cup win and the positive memories that would go with it for 32k fans.
