Yes it is.

They're piss easy. Flour, water and maybe a touch of oil. A tandoor is the best way to cook them, but we don't have them in out homes, so a hot plate suffices.

Naans take a bit more time as they're levened.

Sweet. Mowgli needed wholemeal flour which aldi didn't have but will definitely be giving them a go.

Supermarket breads are dog shit.

Mowgli keema is 👍by the way

Best thing about our local shop is the breads for the locals. So good.

Get yourself down to House of Raja.

Can buy all sorts of flours and flour blends for various flat breads etc.

And don't be afraid to ask how to make stuff.

Aye.

Really helpful- sometimes it's not easy to see what you're after, and one of them will appear like Mr Benn's shopkeeper and point you in the right direction.

Keema and a spud madras shortly.

Kebabs in a day or two.

Up to you, but I leave it on the bone. When it's done the meat slides easily off it, and as they're quite big, they're easy to see and remove before serving. A good way of knowing when the meat is just right too.

Get the benefit of "stock" from bones and also don't lose any meat which can remain on the bone if taking them out before hand.

how many bones should i be finding?

https://www.clovegarden.com/ingred/as_shouldz.html

The blade is the main bit, but depending on size and how it's cut, there may be ribs etc.

They simply lift out of the meat once done. You should find that some of the meat will slide away in sections, with a bit of fat in between. Again, depends on the animal, age etc. Some fat will cook down into the suace too, enhancing the flavour.

The bones are decent size and you will find them very easily, just use a wooden spoon etc to gently lift the cut a little out of the sauce and you will see them.

Have a go; I do a big one with spices rubbed in, with tomatoes etc poured round it, low and slow.

Has anyone else been to Ayaan's in Astley Bridge. The one on the corner of ASDA car park. It's unreal (in a good way).

£89 for 5 of us and you can take your own beers in. Food is absolutely sensational.....

A mate of mine has been a few times, said it's excellent.

Have you tried Jaan's, lower down Blackburn Rd near McDonalds?

No - is it worth a try? We usually go to The Pavilion - but Ayaan's is a couple of classes above that!

Only been once, thought it was decent. Would definitely go again.

Another mate has been loads of times since we first tried it last summer. He thinks it's one of the best.

The lad who rates Ayaan's has fell out with the Pavilion, they keep rushing him! 😁

😂 - you get loads of food at Pavilion - but the quality can be a bit lacking at times.

I knew Ayaan's was going to be good when it was packed but there were only about 3 white people in there!

For anyone interested in the structure this is really interesting.

See the main blade bone, and how, depending upon size, ribs maybe there.

That's a big showder of lamb!
