Underpants
Unfortunate use of the term, but pickings must be slim for keepers in East Fife. Well done her for giving it a go. This may sound patronising, but its great seeing girls getting involved in the game. I went to Sports Direct for a pair of boys boots on Saturday and there was a lass in there with her mum & dad looking for a pair. I'll never know how good or shit she might be at the game but does that really matter?
Duck Egg
My only bug bear is the BBCs insistence at promoting it at the expense of the men's game. The result of that match ^ would be listed on their website after the championship yet before L1 and L2 ffs!

It's the Women's Super League results that are listed above L1 and L2 on the BBC website.

I take it that match wasn't in the WSL then? Point still stands though, why when looking at the men's results in England are matches in the WSL, internationals and even the Scotch Prem interspersed between championship and L1? Women's footy has its own page.

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 5 Site Supporter Share Posted February 5 Bit weird when you hear or see a prem name against a championship name, but without reference to which league. Nowt wrong with specifying which league it is- women's of men's- just as we specify which division it is. It's as if there's a fear of being labelled as "ist" in some way. Site Supporter MickyD Posted February 5 Site Supporter Share Posted February 5 Is it not likely to be a case of her wanting to play for a team but not technically gifted enough to play out and in view of there being very few others who want to be a specialist keeper, the job goes to the person who says, “I just want to play football, I don’t care where I play.”

Those teams are fielding a squad, and it's aspiration to other players.. It's going to take time to develop a team, and it's early days for a lot of them. Daughter has no interest in football, tried to be encouraging. Loves watching the whites but says that womens football "is a bit boring". FWIW, I always used to be the "I just want to play football" type.. competitiveness and me not being reet good stopped that.

She's most likely the only one willing/available.

All relative really as on the whole they will have very little assistance from the men’s set up and in a lot of cases will essentially be a recreational side.
