When Rioch came to Bolton in 1992 we won three of our first give games then drew 1 and lost 5 of the next six. A very similar thing happened when Big Sam arrived in 1999. It is very early days and SS

For those slagging off SS, you are barking up the wrong tree. We can only even get in to the foothills of judging the guy after he has had a transfer window. He has been dealt a talented but very one-

Previously thought a tinker and a 2/3 signings would sort the job but think Schumacher needs to break this team up, for me the only player mentally tough enough to cope is Dempsey…. Any other player i

Deffo need Dempsey on second half. Hope Evatt doesn't wait until the 65th minute as we could be down to 10 men by then as these lot are getting desperate and going to ground at every opportunity

Rico is in no bullshit mode which is a positive

Rico is injured though clearly. Hoping he can see this out

I’d definitely hook Thomasson for Dempsey. Poor half that but wonderful goal

seems like just me that thinks thats one of the worst halfs Ive seen from us all season, interjected with 60 seconds of brilliance .

Was completely obvious Barnsley were gonna go over the top at every opportunity and we havent read it and run such a high line. Midfield useless , collins hasnt had a pass , long ball tastic shite.

Take GT off for dempsey and tell the rest to get a fucking finger out.

We've been critical at times of being a bit naive, a bit too nice, and not being able to beat a good, pressing team.

Maybe with a lead, space might open for us to play our more expensive game later on.

Looks like we are a bag of nerves, two midfielders booked already, need to be careful here

But he’s been in Connell face every time he has the ball

I feel like thommo has been told not to be a dick after what happened in the league game. He seems to be unusually subdued.

A gift gladly taken, don't sit back and fuck it up now. They will go for it, get them on the break.

Too soon to plan for Wembley?

You see that at every corner a goal is scored

Yes

I can see some cards in this game now, hopefully not for us.

Cosgrove coming on.

Keep it sneaky Toal, but dislocating his knee would be good.

All of a sudden the game has opened up, owt could happen…

Bollocks
