Fixtures 24/25

I can hardly control my excitement.

Please be Blackpool and Wigan ASAP to get the beatings done and dusted so we can all fall out then move on.

  • Apathy. I get that it’s 5.30pm and Charlton is a few weeks later, but it’s the first game of the season and not a big allocation. That play off final defeat has done more damage than I think

  • Last thing on earth we need is a full Wrexham stand on our first home game of season. Keep it empty for me. Stick some netting on it and make it look like segregation/police measure.

  • I'd be surprised if they move the game to next season!

It must be our worst away record

I can't remember the last time we got a result there

I genuinely think it was as far back as the sixties

Had a look on 11 v 11

30/08/66

In the lare 80s, v early 90s i think cunningham scored an injury time winner and we drew

Speaks volumes

I think it was the season Bolton were relegated to the 4th Division the first time. Steve Thompson missed a penalty to put Bolton 1-0 up and went on to lose 1-0.Rotherham were on a long losing run and were poor on the day but still won

Quick drive over the top, no problems

One of the lads is you marple. Usual flakes will make their excuses closer to the time.

Yes, it was end of April 91.

Huge Wanderers following in the sun, we could touch promotion when TC scored.  Not dissimilar to the feeling at Vale a few years ago - boiling April day, packed away end celebrating, then it was snatched away (temporarily in the latter case).

That equaliser deep into injury time was the only dropped points in last 5 games of season, if we'd held on we'd have gone up instead of being pipped by Grimsby on GD & Southend by 2 pts.

The 90s could have been very different without that goal!

There's some beltin' boozers there now to be fair.

I’ll probably drive otherwise it’s train from Macclesfield to Stockport then bus to Huddersfield

Our game with Charlton on Saturday, Jan 11th will be off I think , with them still being in the cup.

If so, it's a pity we've already rearranged our game at Rotherham as a night game.

Rotherham were supposed to play Wycombe that day, so now we both have no game.

It would be logical to re re-arrange it to the 11th.  So it'll definitely be on the 21st.

Yeh unfortunately, looking after the fans will come low down on the priority list.

They’ll have their date now and stick with it rather than say - “Do you know what, these fans have been pissed about with international rearrangements, (despite it being low level L1 football), they’ve had 3 away games rearranged already, so come on let’s give them something to look forward too”

It could be an easy to travel to away game, which have been few and far between on Saturdays, a good weekend following, a game which needs a large passionate following behind them.

But you just know that these thoughts will be a million miles away from the decision makers.

Poor

(I would love to be proven wrong and this fixture be moved)

Sheffield United drawn at home.

Rotherham won't be rearranged for that Saturday.

Do you mean Rotherham (A)?

If so, it's already been arranged for Jan 21st....

Yeah. But it could have gone to 11th Jan.

Rotherham v Wycombe on TV could have easily change to Rotherham v Bolton

Not for the first time, I stand corrected!

3pm KO would have been ideal but still good news.
