Nipped to Bolton Arena to the gym this morning and Darth Vader and a load of Storm troopers were hanging around. Everyone looked like they were having a good time. What goes on at these events? No hate just curious

Stalls selling nerd stuff, cosplay competitions, meet and greets with famous sci-fi/comic people and just general fun activities like arcades, play areas for the little uns, food and usually a DJ/compare on the cosplay stage.

The one at the Nynex last week was a big do so will have had more famous folk attending than the one in Horwich.

I did a cosplay event for a show last Sunday - it's a manga musical. Those pro Anime cosplayers have their own agents and charge because they have massive online followings.

I was walking the dog up Rivington one Saturday and came across a group of young adults dressed up like something from dungeons and dragons.  They had horned helmets, plastic swords, the lot and looked very like that scene in Peep Show. They were properly into it but lowered their voices as we passed. Probably a bit embarrassed I should think.

Live Action Role Play or LARP got a few mates who do that stuff, not for me TBF.

Basically acting out a D&D game.

Not really some of the cosplayers have Only Fans so will do shoots together but it's far from one of Berlusconi's Bunga-Bunga partys.

Those are brilliant. I haven’t got an artistic bone in my body and my son is exactly the same. My daughter on the other hand is a great artist. It seems like some people just have natural flair
