  • If he was a new signing and we hadn’t seen him up close, we would be wanking ourselves silly after that half, about signing a player who seems to have it all at this level; vision, energy, box-to-box,

All fair points that you make, I think he deserves more than 3 games to get us challenging for the top, especially as it is his first real crack at having a decent transfer budget, time will tell.

  • Most men with dogs didnt see 3 in midfield

Wait, they're seeding the league cup now?  hahaha

Absolutely rank that... has this been mentioned to the other 86 League clubs anywhere previously or is this just *yet another* chasm-widening measure that has been slipped in, under the radar, without consultation?

----

Oh, and also, Dempsey to start as one of the "front 3", for me. Nice to have the ability to transition back to a more dense midfield when defending.

It's fucking farcical and more pandering to the big boys. The competition was already on its arse without taking out the jeopardy.

Frustrating but understandable. If a Champions League club was to draw a Europa League club, there’s no slot for it to be scheduled into.

Blame UEFA!

Yep.

I suppose there is the argument that the number of European games seems to be going up over the years, which in turn fucks up domestic competitions.

Maybe backdoor European league, but that would then include non-giant clubs and ones that are comparatively poor, which would then potentially devalue and enlarge the idea of it.

Tottenham away please......

Schön was winger in Hungary, so you’d think he’s more suited to a wing back role than full back.

Yeah, I read that too. But I can imagine anyone semi decent plays where they want in the Hungarian league

Shrewsbury must be up there with Charlton for our best away results in last 40 years or so (prior to Saturday).  Shrews also one of them rare grounds when we often score at the end our fans are (many times in recent years going back to the famous ALF one), and also during the Gay Meadow days when I saw us score a few times at our end.  A shame we don't get those moments very often in "bigger" games eg local derbies when we rarely seem to score a big goal, even less in front of our fans.

Anyone but Blackpool or somewhere where I'll have to go.

You’d think Newcastle had just won the cup tonight the way they celebrated

Wish it would hurry up ffs

Dragging this out ffs

I was watching the match and thought Gay Meadow is looking smart these days.

Then had a lightbulb, it's not Gay Meadow is it.
