  • Well if he's staying it really is last chance saloon. We may as well all get behind him.  It is what it is. Making the place a hell hole will just make the situation worse.

I've gone in depth elsewhere on why he has to go. But to be honest for me personally, I want him gone for arguably my own biggest reason... I'm just bored of it. We got battered by frigging

See. That's your inner chimp speaking.

Tell him to stop downplaying sports people having mental health issues and seeking help.

You could probably put some blue food colouring in a glass of water and, if you said it with enough confidence, convince Ronnie O'Sullivan that it was magic Martian medicine that would help him cue straighter.

That Stockport fixture looks rather ominous :(

That could turn pretty nasty if we get a thumping there.

That game leads into another international break as well, imagine going into a fortnight off after getting pumped by them.

First part of this season being split up into 3 month long chunks before international breaks might give a lot of clubs who haven't had a great start the opportunity to say let's see where we are by the time this next break comes along, or give them till the one after that and we'll assess.

It's worth a try. Someone give Santos a glass of blue water and tell him it will make him play the ball quicker.

I bear the lad no malice (IE). He has done a pretty good job up until the League One playoff time. Seems to be a step too far for him.

Time to move on for the club - now. A proven division winner required. There is still plenty of time for this season to become a successful one. Do it now. Every defeat for IE from here on in will crank up the tension and dissatisfaction.

Kevin Nolan a shoe in.

Already interviewed for the job and Sharon preferred Keith Hill. It won’t be Kev.

I wonder if he is sacked which members of staff would be retained and which would go with him.

Think Markham said one of the things that attracted him to the job in the first place was that Sharon stuck with Evatt even though we were 20th in League 2, as clearly there was a process in place. It was something different than the norm…

We have two assistant managers, one who we have just signed in the summer, that won’t be cheap if we have to pay him off.

If it all goes massively tits up within the next few weeks/months then obviously these concerns become less important as the need for change will dictate itself but there’s a big gamble, sacking him could set us back a long way or it could the the Alex Neil effect that Sunderland got.

I'm not quite ready for total meltdown just yet and having been lucky enough to have a team that played exciting attacking football I'm wanting more. Recently it's been dire at times and Exeter was a s dull as dishwater, but as the Shrewsbury game showed, it wouldn't take a lot to put it right.

My hope is that the changes he made to turn an exciting solid attacking team into a shambles will be a learning experience for him and he'll not make the same mistakes again. But more importantly, he's got to get the player's mental attitude right and if that doesn't change soon I'll be moving to the get rid camp because I know that even an ageing Neil Warnock could fire them up better than IE seems to do.

Nolan was a thought. With a mentor maybe.

Holden, seems respected at this level. Neil maybe. Lowe another.

I've just tried "Steve Gerrard's Bolton Wanderers" & "Frank Lampard's Bolton Wanderers" & ther don't sound right. Nor does Rooney.

The only staff member I'd expect to stay in the long-term would be Craddock

And Julian Darby.

Mind Evatt has a lousy record on bringing through young players. It wasn't helped when Pat Phoenix scrubbed the Academy.

It's one of the reasons Ipswich, Luton, and ? Brentford have done so well.

Not arsed who stays, Markham can go for me as well, not turned a profit on a single player we've signed since he was hired.

I can not imagine how long my list would have to be before I considered him.

Yep. Love the fella for what he did for us - best football years of my life watching his team. But life moves on. He wouldn't fit with Sharon's 'values' and sometimes the memories of past loves are best left that way. He's more slim Sam these day's too. The name wouldn't work!

That's right. We never made a Tanner out of it.

I'd say there's quite a few worth more now than when we acquired them.

Covers the costs for a couple of years. Tops.

My concern, should the other board members insist Evatt has to go in the next month or two would be Sharon falling on her sword.

SB has backed Evatt to the hilt, showing admirable loyalty to him and it’s not too hard to imagine her attitude being, if Ian goes I go.

Will all boil down to how desperate the owners and those behind the funding are to go up.

If it's panic stations they'll have to pot him sooner of later.

Doesn't to me seem like it's panic stations just yet.

What utter nonsense.

It will be real headache for FV as so much work has been done off the field, once fans drop off it’s really hard to engage again

SB got rid of Hill after his appointment as manager when things were going to pot I can't see a problem getting rid of IE

I think it’s a lot more complicated than when hill was here you have a new coaching staff all on contracts you have this ( data analysis company can’t remember the name of them ) who have shares in the club and you would need a manager happy to recruit the same way as evatt by using them  Then I think evatt also shares in the club would he need paying up on that also if sacked ?

. Not saying he can’t be sacked but there is far more going on behind the scenes than when hill was here and the clubs  more set up for evatt

He isn’t going anywhere.
