If we lose badly against Peterborough, think we should get rid of Evatt, he's had plenty of time and he's had money to spend, he's not as good as he thinks he is either, apart from Brum, there's nothing in between the rest of the teams, judegement day for me.

If we lose badly against Peterborough, Sharon will reward him a new three year deal, a third assistant manager, three more attackers costing a million each in Jan, extra shares in the club & another 100K loan to help him out.

I've gone in depth elsewhere on why he has to go. But to be honest for me personally, I want him gone for arguably my own biggest reason... I'm just bored of it. We got battered by frigging

He's a bloke with an IQ of 102 who spent his youth in changing rooms full of pretty simple people, and he's reached the mistaken conclusion that he's intelligent.

Watching him copying other manager's approaches, breaking them at every change, is really quite sad. He won't go on to much after we finally get rid.

He reminds me of the Soviet Concorde copy. Sure you can copy paste what the plans say, the player instruction etc but if you're then not able to make tweeks on the fly, set opposition instructions dynamically, change it when its not working. Or just accept that League 1 players can't do the stuff Pepe expects of Premier League ones, then you're doomed to fail.

I have no faith IE can get us promoted, not matter how much he tried. Give him 10/100/1000 seasons it doesn't matter.

Joking apart, that goal may have saved his bacon.

He'd have stayed regardless

Aye, probably. But you never know.

Very different fan reaction for sure.

I think the 2nd half performance and decent first 20 probably did that.

We pretty much did everything but score.

Could be a catalyst today, let's hope so.

Got in from work at around 4.35

Was desperate to get in and follow it, as I has this weird feeling that when I did, we'd get that late goal.

Being a football fan is one weird business. 🤣

Likewise but we’ve said that a few times this season and it hasn’t been so far. We live in hope? 😁

Player performances and ability levels, managerial decision making, training methods, etc don’t fundamentally change off one game. So in that sense it doesn’t make any difference.

However, the nature of the win and the performance may just spark that bond again between fans and players, which shouldn’t be underestimated.

Huge opportunity now to win at Stevenage and Walsall and let us all feel like we’re back on track.

I remember Evatts 3-2 comeback win at Mansfield and Riochs 2-2 comeback draw (at Chester I think). Let’s hope yesterday was that moment

Defeat at Stevenage now would feel like a big blow

More like the Red Arrows... lots of fancy formations but in our case the coaches don't make certain the pilots keep on top of their basic skills like take offs and landings, heading and putting the ball in the net

Think one of the reasons why we've struggled to attract any decent loan talent outside of Bradley (3 seasons ago), Trafford (2 seasons ago) and Maghoma (we paid a load for), is the upper echelons of the footballing pyramid laughing IE out of the room.

Can you imagine us going for the next Beckham etc and your Man City types having to accept having 3 former defenders, non of which have held a post above League 1 trying to teach the player """""""their"""""""" new special formula for progressive attacking football.

The second your next Beckham tries to show some individual class, flair or anything, the gruesome threesome come racing at them for not playing their way, all of a sudden they're out of the team and being forced to shadow or learn from a player who's highest football achievement was getting to a league one playoff final.

It's bad enough we have a training ground with no indoor pitch and kit that last saw proper money in 2007. We also have a manager, who basically every other manager in the league think is an entitled azz.

I'm Evatt Out

I'd have moved Evatt on after the drubbing at home to Huddersfield Town

I'd have sacked Evatt in the summer

I'd even have been tempted to get rid during the run-in last season if I thought a suitable replacement was available

But what you've posted there is bollocks

Fucking hell, what goes on in your mind?

If you read that quote in an expressive story-tellers voice, you’ve got the makings of a fantastic child narrator.

You ever thought about reinventing Jackanory?

Embarrassing.

All those shit loan players apart from the good ones.

I'd say we, as a club, and evatt has a manager are everything parent club would want in loaning out a player.

They'll hardly want them to go to a gaggle of cloggers playing a low block getting changed in a shed.
