It's a position to build from. Can we? More consistency and better finishing needed for that. A lot of away games in November. October 26, 20241 yr Deserved win. Several great performances, Santos, GJ, Matete and Schon all deserve a mention. We need to be quicker in the turnovers and be a bit braver in the final 3rd but nothing we didn't already know. Happy Wanderer here and off to get muntered now.

Matete was brilliant at doing the grunt work though. Unappreciated, but he was always breaking up attacks, tidying up loose ends and then playing a simple pass to a teammate. Effective rather than flash. George Johnston made up for his missed header by winning that pen at the end. And I mean “winning” by feeling the defender holding his shirt and diving backwards to make out he’d been pulled over. Proper theatrics but it did a job. Dion was good when he came on but it has to go down as a missed pen. Everyone else who had a shooting opportunity took a touch too many and they need to practice getting the shot away quicker.
