  • That was pathetic, abject, depressing, slow, inept, cowardly, and utterly humiliating. I'm one of the so-called "happy clappers", but it's clearly time for a refresh.

When a manager is under pressure and debate is raging about him there’s always A defining moment when everyone agrees it’s time to put an end to it. Today was that moment.   anything that comes

  • They simply have to pull the trigger now. A new manager coming in at this point has plenty of time and a decent amount of points on the board to build a promotion charge. We should be right

It's on the players to take personal responsibility for their attitude and application from minute 1, heard one or two saying the right sorts of things in latest media snippets, down to them individually and collectively to rise to the challenge and the atmosphere, not shrink into their shirts.

Any semblance of that sort of effort and desire in the first few minutes and the crowd will be right with them. Even if the game's short on quality, simple things like snapping into a tackle, winning a couple of corners, firing a decent shot off, all help to engage the crowd in what's going on.

He was always pretty sound tbf.

Surely as a squad, the players may be having similar thoughts about Evatt as we are; is he all that, are his tactics bollx??

Maybe not verbally, or consciously even for some; but a sa collective our initial reaction to shit their pants at the first sign of adversity is very telling.

They know how hard it is for us to play the way he wants to get back into games , when teams just sit deep.

We've got a talented squad but it feels miles away from a Rioch or Allardyce team of grit, determination and flair when needed.

I've always doubted him, imagine he is an arse to work for, and thought the matches in the 4th division flattered to deceive and got pelters for voicing that then. However, I still want him to succeed as I do think he has the clubs interest at heart, but by fuck is he a slow learner at times.

I was convinced the last goal against Hudds would be his epitaph, and what an ironic way to go. However he is still here, picking up results, having a few lucky breaks chucked in; all we need now is performances to pick up over 90 mins.

Wouldn't suprise me if we did go up this season somehow, despite it maybe being our worst of the last 3. It's a funny old game and Evatt is a contrary fucker, so let's see.

They've not sold out have they?

Do they include in the 24k the hundreds that have been handed out to local schools?

A school teacher friend can't give hers away 😁

According to their official Twitter account

We should be winning this. No nerves here thankfully.

Our attendances just continually amaze me.

They are as big as Premier League days and bigger than most of our championship era.

We've had times in higher divisions where we barely scraped 12k on.

Last time we were in div 3 for a long period of time was more like 6/7k. We pull amazing numbers.

Neil Hart's legacy. What a guy.

Already more then last season's game against them which was 24k.

Be 25k+ there tomorrow.

The fans have delivered yet again, if the worse happens and people start pointing fingers at the fans for mumbling and grumbling affecting the players then they need a reality check.

This is the pressure you get playing for a big club that can pull 25,000 supporters for a 3rd division game. They need to harness that pressure otherwise we and the players will never be fit for the Championship and beyond.

They were scared stiff of 5000 Cambridge Ultras the other week apparently 🙄

And people were saying Neil made it difficult to get tickets

A dark day when he unfortunately left

They would struggle to amass 25,000 over 3 home game. Lets smash this pathetic excuse for a football club, get behind the lads and they will deliver tomorrow. We will move up the table and consign them to to relegation battle.

100% agree on it being on the team to show up tomorrow. They owe us one.

I think IE owes us one, and yes some of the players.  But a lot of those involved tomorrow weren't around last season and from their point of view don't "owe" us anything (other than trying very hard as per any game!).  4 players started both games, and are likely to feature tomorrow: Jones, Santos, Cogley and Vic (we never lose when he starts😀).

Charles didn't play at all in either game, Collins made a sub appearance but the likes of Schon, Johnston, Matete, Lolos, McAtee aren't stained by previous matches.  We can't ask Sheehan, Dempsey, Morley, Iredale, Ogbeta, Toal, Maghoma or even Dan (yes, he started the 0-4 game!) to make it up to us tomorrow.

Its great numbers sold, incredible really.  But we won't know till tomorrow what the backing is like - there might be 12k rattling around excluding away fans, like v Mansfield.  The evidence of fans losing faith is having a S/T, but not being arsed to show up at games, and not being able to get anyone to take their ticket. Hopefully there's 20k BW fans roaring us on (as there were for the 0-4 game - atmosphere was brilliant up til 0-1).  Christmas doesn't help as anyone with young kids/grandkids will know, bloody kids parties every weekend, that's cost us 2 off our regulars, but 2 coming over from Lincoln are well up for it.
