I thought Baxter was excellent last season. Far too good for the 3rd division. This year, I'm not so sure. He just hasn't looked half as confident. 

He’s a better shot stopper. Still would be my no.1

I don't think there's much in it between the 2.Both have pulled off very good saves but Southwold looks better with ball at his feet.If Baxter is going I would prefer Southwood to be no1

Well it looks pretty certain that Baxter is going and in January if we want any money for him, same with Rico so I’d expect Evatt to play both to keep them in the shop window. Since Southwood would obviously then replace Baxter I’m sure he won’t mind being on the bench for a few more weeks yet. Personally I prefer Southwood anyway, just as good a shot stopper but manages his defence and moves the ball out much better.

If we don’t beat these Saturday all things considered we never will and this group of players will never ever get it

Came in to say this, I’m confused by all of this talk of Baxter leaving being a formality as if from nowhere. 

I’m sure we would be willing to listen to offers in January given that he’s out of contract in summer.

Right now he’s our no. 1 and we’re looking to get promoted. How does anyone know that he/us won’t be willing to discuss a new and improved deal in summer should we get promoted?

Does anyone really know for certain that we’ve not already had discussions?

We should be winning this comfortably.

Yep, they may well be in talks right now, the Sheehan extension came out of nowhere, and he was included in the 2025 leavers do with Santos and Baxter
