  • That was pathetic, abject, depressing, slow, inept, cowardly, and utterly humiliating. I'm one of the so-called "happy clappers", but it's clearly time for a refresh.

When a manager is under pressure and debate is raging about him there’s always A defining moment when everyone agrees it’s time to put an end to it. Today was that moment.   anything that comes

  • They simply have to pull the trigger now. A new manager coming in at this point has plenty of time and a decent amount of points on the board to build a promotion charge. We should be right

Result the only thing that matters this week. I'd be over the moon to see us dig in, battle for everything and win a scrappy game 1-0.

The middle of the pitch will decide this one.

I’m not keen on these 12-30 kick offs you get some strange results, low key flat atmosphere and terrible games… they’ll raise their game 100% from last week, impossible to predict the result but all the above are in Wigan’s favour…. I’ll take a draw.

Maloney will have done his homework they will press us and give us no time or room to play and if Evatt goes with 2 midfielders again we could struggle if they score first they will sit back and hope to hit us on the break we have to score first.

No, he didn't.

Now he misses several weeks.

This has happened several times.

Did they also absolutely have to play?

Thomason was suspended wasn't he? What other options do we currently have in there that we can trust in a game against a top half team?

This.

I'm doing a "Sheehan", fucking off away fro the weekend, not looking at TVs or listening radios.

Fact they've mustered only 1500 says it all about them, let's hope they're skulking off doing the "Wigan-walk" come 70mins.....

I'm away for the weekend too, so missing it. Not gutted about it....

Matete, GT and McAtee midfield 3 then..

any knocks for them and we’re looking very light indeed

1500 sold for their cup final

that can't be right?

We have already had our annual 4-0 loss at home against Huddersfield, so I can't see there being a repeat.

Any win will do

Surely a 0-4 could not simply happen again but who knows with this team and this fixture, we have been cursed in recent years.

I agree with the sentiments that it might be more like the away game at their place. Complete control of the game but very tight and low scoring. I just hope we are on the right side of the result for a change.

I think we will do it this time. They're utter shite just like 90% of this league. It's hardly even Bolton Wanderers Vs Wigan Athletic, yet Bolton Wanderers Vs Bolton Wanderers, the onus is completely upon us.

Is that not the attitude that has let us down. We are too good, they are small etc

More like our players have been overwhelmed by the pressure of a big game/local derby atmosphere and absolutely shit their pants.

Us in decent form, performances appear to be improving, them, weak side very little goal threat on a bad run of results.. if there’s ever a time to right some wrongs it’s now. However it would also be the most Bolton thing ever to roll over and the most Wigan thing ever to snatch a win

cue the “Bolton wanderers it’s happened again” chants from the piss poor 1500

Feels like a defining moment this.

Win - and a good performance - and it starts to feel like we've turned a corner.

Lose and it feels like the wheels have come off.

That said, better to view it as a double header with the Wycombe game. Lose both, we're not progressing and time to change. Win both, it's back to hms piss the league. Seems crazy to say it, but that's where I feel we are.

Obviously, we'll probably win one and lose one and be none the wiser as the season drifts on ...

There couldn’t be a better time to play these, but no chance am I going into this fixture with the utmost confidence.

Get an early goal and I do think we’ll stick a few past them. Just want us to score and to score first against these for once.

My Wiggun supporting mate reckons that they're absolutely shite...

He says that if BWFC don't win by 3 or more goals Evatt should be sacked.....

So, BWFC 0 Wiggun 3..... 😁

Any ESL adult spares chaps

Be the last time we'll get to play them at Home in a league game for perhaps forever after they slip back off to none league. Time to help them on their journey:

5-0 (Charles, Charles, Santos, Schon, McAtee - in that order)

ESU over 65 available

As much as losing Sheehan is a blow. I think it may help us as Wigan would have targeted him and played a high press.

Would be tempted to play Southwood from the start and be a bit more direct, quicker from the back.

Think we have too much for these but will also concede a couple so going 4-2 in a crazy game

Would be typical Bolton to lose to Eigan then batter Wycombe.

However if we could beat Wigan with a good performance it could lift the ‘dark cloud’ and lose some of the negativity that is splitting the  fans.
