I just listened to Evatt and Johnston's interviews. They mentioned that it's a tough place to go and that they're big and physical and their fans rallied behind them. Cambridge United. 22nd in Le

Having everyone in the box at corners is shit when the opposition have 11 men on the field, doing it when they have 10 is just pathetic.

  • Evatt shouldn’t be allowed anyway near any room where discussions about January signings are taking place.

That's where I'm at. 4pts from the last two games, 20pts from the last 10.

The magical/mythical 2ppg without even playing well?

Better than that, 23 pts from the last 11

Well there was one above which is why I called him out pal.

There’s definitely a few others too.

This particular debate has become twisted as me calling out out fans who don’t go to the games, and portraying myself as a super-fan which is nonsense.

Anyone and everyone has an opinion, yours is as good as mine from a few thousand miles away.

But once folk want us to lose that’s beyond reasonable debate in my mind.

I hesitate to get involved in the cross fire as I can see where you're coming from, we want to get every point we can.  But  I think you've over reacted to what @Eavesy said.

He was referring to, in hindsight, if we hadn't beaten Posh and/or Blackpool, we might have a new manager by now.  Which might have resulted in a win last night and would theoretically give us a better chance of beating the likes of Wigan, Wycombe and Barnsley in December.

Most fans probably agree our best hope of promotion this season is to have a new  manager (NO guarantees obviously).  And if we keep winning every 3rd game, bobbing around in 7th or 8th, that's unlikely to happen.  It does not mean anyone wants us to lose games, it was a case of short term pain may result in longer term gain and if someone said to me you can have Schumacher as manager next week but it will cost you 3 points, I'd take it.  But I'll be cheering us on v Mansfield whoever the manager is, even when we bring 11 men back and mark space.

I'd rather have Michael Schumacher than Stephen.

Fair enough.

I’m always one to back down if I feel I’ve misinterpreted something and I like to feel I can be reflective and change my opinion after reading some considered debate on here.

So @Eavesy if your post is a more heat in the moment response and you’re not out there hoping we lose games, then apologies. I can accept that my response could be considered inflammatory.

Something which folk (including me in here, and definitely those on the politics thread 😊) forget is there is only one thing which bonds us together - BWFC

And when we are so passionate about something, with different opinions, things can flare up.

I’m moving on.

Shame there’s no game Saturday. We’ll have to mull over that rubbish last night for a few more days 😊🙄😂

You need to knock this caper on the head and start dishing out club shop invites.

I hadn't read this before I posted, good response.

We all move on to the next one 😀

Fair enough.  I'd rather have Stephen Schumacher than Ian Evatt but that's not to say he'd be my no.1 choice.

Little or no positives from that game.  When we get that fortunate goal to go 1 up, just keep moving the ball against 10 men and take it to them.

good teams find a way to win and we have been bullied again.

how evatt can blame the hostile environment I have no idea - we went and hardly heard a peep out of the locals all night.

giving the ball away, poor discipline, sloppy passing

last 3 games, 2.5 of them have been woeful and we are now already 11 points behind.

we just aren’t good enough

good drink in Cambridge though, nice place and some great pubs.  Won’t be rushing to do the 4 hours each way anytime soon.

Fk me he needs to go to Millwall or West Ham!. I work a lot in Cambridge and it's anything but "hostile". That is how I ended up at the match... working in walking distance and stayed late... agreed about the pubs

If airfield can’t be trusted to replace Thomason last night for a like for like replacement to see the game out then he needs taking out of the squad in Jan and a replacement bringing in . Also 5 yellow cards last night suspensions are going to start to bite if we can’t get it under control

There are half a dozen I would try to ship out in January

We need a striker and two mobile central midfielders as a bare minimum.

Arfield and Lolas first out the door

Bit harsh on Lolos. He’s not had enough chances to be shit yet.

I really shouldn’t pass judgement on him or forinio… however my impressions are that both are shite.

Totally agree and McAtee isn’t the player  we thought he was going to be.

Schon has been good but the rest of the summer signings have been sub standard

“Electric traction fault” just past Rugby services. Three hours stood freezing on the M6 embankment and another couple of hours twatting about. Car stuck in storage in Birmingham ahead of being shifted to a Citroen dealer for repairs and we had to get an Uber back from Coventry (covered by Citroen, thankfully). Evatt out.

3 fucking hours waiting for assistance: that's an absolute disgrace.

Two and a half hours waiting and half an hour twatting about 😊 couldn’t load the car on for towing because of course the wheels had locked as part of having a ‘stop’ message

Absolute complete gash.

Shadow of last years team.

Our midfield has disappeared, from a fast closing down and clean passing efficient unit, to a fuck knows what. There is something definitely missing.

I pray for Schon, Dacres-Cogley, Williams etc to go down the line quickly and swing in an early cross so one of the 4 strikers can get an ankle/knee/shin on it and score. But no, we go left right back-forward to allow every shit team to get 11 men in the box, then try to play though... or Baxter tw@ts it long to know one...

Absolute gash..

At least you had the sense to stand on the embankment. This happened last night on the M6.

Noticed a few folk reading loads into Evatt’s post match media comments.
What matters is what he says to the players, not the PR statement.
