Randall can play as a winger if needed

Williams should be binned. Awful again tonight. Schon is a left winger and a recalled Conway can understudy.

Shouldn’t be dropping points at 1-0 up. Simple as that. Big question on the attitude of so many players, but ultimately it has to go to the top. He isn’t going to get his jotters any time soon, but the longer it goes on, the more questions will be asked overall.

Keep getting the impression the players are just going through the motions

That matches with the training comments made in the paper

Osei tutu is a winger. He might of been brought in to play wing back but he can play wide. Randall can play as a winger if needed.

We could do it. He just chooses not to. This had nothing to do with formations. This one's on the players for losing two points.

I'm not sure I follow how it's on the players. Yes we were playing badly, but a good manager should spot that and make system or player changes to change the flow of the game.

All we got was the usual like for like, pre-programmed subs. So I'd equally portion blame between players and manager tonight.

Good managers don’t drop points against teams bottom of the league playing with 10 men. We never looked comfortable at any point in that game and barely even looked like scoring after we took the lead.

He didn’t need to take Cogley and Tomo off - that was the point we lost control

Summer signings ffs

He did as it got to 69 minutes and he has to change it then no matter what

Tomo was on a yellow and just came back k from a long lay off if we can’t win a game without him against 10 men . Arfield must be utter wank  in training if he can’t come on in games like this

But we didnt have anyone on the bench to take his place

It's the law that on 65' or shortly thereafter he HAS to make at least one change.

Poor performance and very disappointing to only get a point against ten men. We didn't really deserve more than that though. We really shouldn't have let their man turn back onto his left foot to cross it for the goal and the marking was poor.

Overall I'd say that was shit tonight.

Lets leave him on and break him

Great shout

You’re right, but this is on evatt. We haven’t recruited enough midfielders. We’ve gambled on our ‘plan b’ which is 5-2-3 and we can’t play it! Too many attackers and not enough midfielders and it’s costing us dearly.

Made absolute sense to take off Thomason in the circumstances. Winning, on a yellow and still working his way back.

But you’d think the one midfielder (I use term loosely) on the bench would be the one to come on.

We are running out of shite teams to play too.

We've only beaten Reading out of teams in the top half ... and they were struggling at the time and their takeover had just fallen through.

When they went down to 10 you could just sense they wanted to even the numbers up. That's what I'm saying.

Lolas, McAtee and Victor where as bad as you can get when they come on

You missed the first part of my comment. Of course it's the coaching to be bringing 11 men back for all set pieces, that's how we play.

Leave a striker forward and the opposition can't pack as many men in the box for the inevitable second phase ball in because we don't push out.

As to a striker showing their player onto their weaker foot, I agree. But strikers aren't always the best at defending, so another reason to leave one up front.

The point about the coaching is we invite this pressure on ourselves

We've been agreeing on this for absolutely ages and you're spot on again, well explained.

And McAtee should have been on the halfway line, not pretending he's a left back, when we have a left back to do that job (allegedly).

Evatt needs binning. We need to revert to 4/4/2 ...Get rid of the tippy tappy shite being served up

We would not get over run in midfield and Schon and Desmond could run at players playing wide in a midfield 4

With  two up top.

And when we concede a corner go back to the front two standing on the half way line and drag three or four defenders back with them

No reaction in system when they go to 10.

Nothing when we score.

Nothing when they score.

All very telling.

Kick off first min... 60/65 min like for like Substitutions  90/95 min game ends

No changes to plan or formation if we are losing 5-0 or winning 5-0......One trick pony

The board need to decide whether to stick or twist on Evatt. There are big decisions in January on player recruitment. Even bigger decisions on whether to cash in on one or two of our out of contract players or gamble on them helping us get promoted

Correct. For me, Evatt shouldn't be let near another transfer window kitty and, come to that, neither should Markham. We're not party to such stuff but I'd suggest the Sheehan contract was, notwithstanding the right things being said by all on the day, about us maximising the scope to make a decent wedge if there's interest.
