January 17, 20251 yr If we come out fighting and get the ball out of our area sharp I think we'll score and go on from there. The first time the defence starts farting about in our area it will turn to shit. Especially if we fuck it up or even look like we might.

Don’t think Toals fit, so Jones and Forrester (part of the 0-0 at Wycombe) get the nod for me. Tutu can use both feet, so he could go RWB for me, to keep one of our better players in the team on the left - Schon. 3 proper midfielders. And our best strikers left should pick themselves now. But I fully expect Evatt to go with Baxter, Johnston, Cogley, Randall and possibly even Vic! (if he’s not been sold to Turkey) May get away with such a midfield ar home against Cambridge, but it would be a worry against many others.
January 17, 20251 yr 5-0. Total football. IE super white army rings out at full time without a hint of irony 🎶. Edited January 17, 20251 yr by Bertie
January 17, 20251 yr Popular Post I'm missing this game because of a pre planned family excursion around Manchester. It hasn't been the best of seasons, but I still love going the game, and I am genuinely gutted when I can't make a Saturday game. It is so much more than just the football being played on the grass in front of us. It is time out meeting up with mates some who you only see at the game and whose last names you don't even know. For me I get to spend time with my two grown up daughters who now have lives of their own but choose to spend Saturday afternoons sat in the cold with their old man, what is going on at the moment is nothing in the grand scheme of things and like all things good or bad it will pass. I'm no happy clapper and i am as pissed off with what is happening as the next man but I hope tomorrow doesn't turn sour and spoil everyone's Saturday.

January 17, 20251 yr At 4 points off a play off spot with loads of teams in contention we really can’t afford to let any more slip away especially at home against a struggling side. The cavalry is hopefully just around the corner but we need to stay in the race until they arrive. And that means shutting down the moaners and getting behind the team - regardless of feelings about the manager. The board will decide his fate, not dickheads with bedsheets whose only impact is to undermine the players. Maybe a good win will start that process?

January 17, 20251 yr My mate is a Cambridge fan. Slightly paraphrased below; The table does not lie, we are that bad. Nothing up front, lads who look non league standard, 2 knackered old blokes in midfield, some young kid on loan from Bristol City is ok, rest are terrible.

January 17, 20251 yr Thing is if Cambridge come out and attack us score you can see the whole ground kicking off. If they just put 2 blocks up and watch us play 987 passes to get nowhere the whole ground will be kicking off. Last home game v Lincoln even at 3 up people by us were just sat about chatting, absolutely no atmosphere. Can not wait 😂😂
