I think it's clear Morlry isn't a No. 10

We don't currently have anyone capable of playing that role well enough so we're best off changing the formation

Play  2strikers fuck this 10 . 442

Second half writes itself, millions of subs just as we’re looking likely and all the stuffing taken out of us. We either end up down to 10 or caught on the break, you choose

I don’t think it was a pen would have to see it again . Where going no  were till we can defend simple balls . The amount of goals we have conceded last season and already this season tells its own story

Their goal was due to losing the ball at the halfway line (Cissoko?) and Johnston was always behind the guy who broke, but Toal was there, tried to get a foot in, the ball deflected off his toe, bobbled on to the post and went in off our goalie's back. Losing possession was bad, but the rest of it was just one unlucky break after another. It was a very jammy goal and the defenders did the right thing but were unlucky. What needs to change is the attack. And maybe the ref.

How can anyone play that role for us right now? nobody is passing to them, no crosses are coming into the box for knockdowns from the target man. Our no10's might as well go to sleep.

I agree with that, other than defenders doing the right thing. Johnston should have pulled him back as he broke into our half and just taken the yellow. It’s naive and soft - again.

Yup. In a nutshell.

Recruitment seems to have an aversion to common sense if we're planning to get out of this league.

Buy a bloody striker who knows how to score in this league

Yup balls to loaning some kid from Celtic.

Keeper being beaten at his near post again though, it is am not sure it is down to luck when it happens time and again

Maybe they need to try and impose themselves a bit more then

Exactly this.

Virtually every other team would do this.

Now we're in a position where we simply can't afford Blackpool to start playing well, the ref to give a bad decision, a hopeful shot going in or a worldy. We simply must not concede again as we did at Stockport.

At this stage I'd be betting the ranch on getting the next goal.

It deflected off toal, hit the post hit his back and went in. You can't blame him for that lol.

He was shooting from that side of the goal, it didn't look like it took a huge deflection, granted i have only seen it from the one angle. But keepers getting beaten at their near post is a worry

FFS Johnson have to score

Surely your centre back in that situation, ball stood up 6 yards out is absolutely powering through everything and smashing it in the net. He went up for that header like a winger would. Too soft
