  • Indeed. Great post . I was more alluding to how they view us and being more up for it than us and us failing to deal with it time after time. Same with Wigan. We spent years just pretending

  • Evatt was sacked because he wasn't getting the best out of a squad HE had built over the course of a few years. Schumacher had half a season to assess it, and he's basically scrapped the lot and start

  • Bloody hell mate come on. What's the point if we don't get up for derbies? May as well all pack up and not bother ffs. These games are what it's all about.

I'm not sure it helps that we keep making changes either

I can well understand there's a need for horses for courses and times where we set up a certain way are start certain players, I just think we might be rotating too much

I think that is a good point.

Evatt also did it for a while, and I don't think it helps them understand each others' games without at least a few together.

swapped them over and they were worse on the other side. That actually stalled us as we lost momentum.

You missed the cross to Dalby then when he swapped them over a few more of them instead of leaving it to late and we score

At the end of the season the teams that play non-league standard players and pretend they should be in the championship don't tend to get promoted.

Another decent performance but frustrating result.

I'd like to see us start Burstow and Dalby next game and have the wingers put some crosses in for them.

We're not far off being very good imo.

Burstow said in is interview when he came to the club he told the wingers get the ball in between the sticks snd if I’m not there it’s my problem there not crossing the ball there cutting in and shooting wide we have Dalby who scored 12 with is head last season

An the first goal Burstow scored for us.

ACD had a nose bleed, got to the line and cut it back.

Bingo.

Not modern nor old fashioned, just basic.

I’ve heard the same from my mates… im not seeing it at all. Mind you I’ve been watching on tv so maybe I’m getting a different perspective.

While it's far from perfect yet their goal was just unlucky on our part and that's how it goes at times. We certainly need to be more clinical in the final third but teams really struggle to deal with our pace up top when we are at it.

While it's frustrating not to win I'd far rather watch that today than Evattball. For perspective Evatt had us hovering above the relegation zone in December in his first season and then it clicked.

We have better players than last season though some are not up to full fitness yet and we are likely to have at least one more in by Monday......Now is the time for patience and holding our nerve. At least give SS a fair cracking of the whip.

I want to see players out before we bring players in. Otherwise we'll have an even more bloated squad and the wage bill will be astronomical

That's the frustrating part.

We may be close, but it isn't something that we can keep saying.

Was about to post the same.

And last week's equaliser when he just fired it in with his right foot

We all see things differently. I thought we dominated today. We're not quite making the clear cut chances I'd hope for but the team is still getting to know each other. I think it'll all click soon.

A pattern is emerging, dominate play and concede on one of the first couple of counter attacks, need to start clean sheeting teams and go from there.

Table doesn’t lie.

Not quite true. 1 point for a draw isn't a true reflection, compared to 3 for a win, however frustrated we are at failing to win again.

Wimbledon have lost half their games and got 2 more points than us, they aren't better than us.

Last season we only drew 6 games in our first 44 and it kept us higher up the table than our ability deserved, we lost 40% of our games.

Also Johnston is poor, he's been at us for years now and makes so many errors on the ball and he's never improved.

Id be sticking Taylor in at left centre back for a go

We're not creating real chances and our possession stats are meaningless. We need to get the ball into the box this aint rocket science.

Fucking well annoying.

Well, that's 4 wins in 18 now.

THey have won 50% of their games, and have a positive goal difference.

We've won 17% of our games, and conceded as many as we've scored.

I'd say thats agood argument to say they are currently better than us.

The games against common opponents have been Barnsley, Reading & Lincoln. They won all 3, we drew all 3.

Common theme continues: high tempo, lots of possession. Really weak defensively. Unlucky with a few decisions. Fast CH and,  god knows how we would attract one, but 20 goal striker required

A striker will definitely come in. But Burstow has 3 in 6 so we already have a 20 goal striker!

100% he offers little, physically to weak today was prime example outmuscled, Taylor also looks like he can add something carrying the ball out from the back like santos used to do so well.

Frustration is the word (not grease).    Someone clinical (a bit of league 1 class) is clearly missing,   we all know it,  ss knows it.   Maybe an interesting day tomorrow

That's the type of player they are. They are modern wingers. Inverted wingers.  It's not fucking 1995 anymore. There's no Ryan Giggs in the modern game. They might need to work on the crossing but they both come inside like 90 percent of wingers nowadays.

Basically the same modern day pigeon holing argument about he's a 6 but not an 8 etc. They're wingers but evodently only capable of being inverted ones. Completely undermines the idea of having a central striker on whose responsibility the goal getting lies.

We do, as we would with Dalby, but not with our set up and lack of the type of service they need.
