Did you miss him singing Bolton get battered with his Stockport chums?

The big fat disruptive cross eyed manc cunt.

I haven’t seen that. Well in that case…fuck him.

I liked him and the bloke he fell out with less so. As gonch says though he won’t come back from that song. Oh well. More arsed about us going on a good run of games. I fear nothing in our next 5/6 games

I like this lad. Been watching him for a couple of years now. Fleetwood fan who has a soft spot for us.

He's sound, does some good broader L1/2 stuff as well as on Fleetwood.

Even got the job as Fleetwood's official home commentator this season.

I was really surprised that first change didn’t sure things up in midfield by bringing Sheehan on and for 10 mins before that and 5 mins after we lost some impetus.

But I did think we got the upper hand again even before that third change while Burstow and Dalby were on. I commented at the time that while I didn’t agree with it, keeping it 4-4-2 meant we controlled the ball more in their half than ours.

But when Sheehan eventually came on he did calm things down and very much helped maintain control, so I can see why it’s a discussion point.

But not a significant one, especially when SS got so many things right both in preparation and on the day

I was surprised when Cissoko came on that we did not make the change then.

Just an extra body in midfield to get control back and kill the game, when you have decent players like Sheehan and Morley to come on and do that job thought it was a ‘no brainer’. Some people might say it is negative but we would basically be 4 3 3 , and 4 5 1 when defending. Forss had put a shift in and understand him going off but the slight change in shape made sense to me.

Are you taking the piss??

The guy was instrumental in getting us out of L2 so why react like that. There was clearly a problem between him and Evatt which I’d say is more down to Evatt since he doesn’t seem to have suffered anywhere else. If you can’t see that maybe it’s you who’s taking the piss?

The good

The setup of the starting 11. Skill and pace in the wingers, great effort in support from the fullbacks, enough skill and physicality from the front 2. Backed up by 2 solid centre mids.

Forss instead of Randall made a huge difference, could hit it to him earlier with his improved physicality, him doubled up with Burstow down the middle gave them a problem and narrowing their defence to solve it left more room for our wingers, also improved goal scoring threat getting in the box which will benefit our wide players when crossing. Even did a great job pinning defenders and laying it off which was a great surprise.

Smashing Wigan obviously. They were slightly time wasting at 2 or 3-0 down which showed just how much of a pasting that was.

The bad

Still look a bit dodgy defending set pieces. Relied on Forino a lot who was magnificent, keeper still a bit unconvincing.

Bringing Dalby on up front stunted our ability to counter and maybe score more when 4-0/1 up, although I understand that the minutes in such a big game will help him get up to speed.

I thought we were magnificent in defending set pieces, particularly corners, Wigan bizarrely had 18! And we defended each and every one very well.

The goal conceded came from a bit of inexperience with TSL trying to get us on a counter attack quickly whilst being 4-0 up.

Love the forward drive though, night and day with how we played under Evatt.

He kicked off because he was on the bench at Plymouth infront of his mates down there.

Then kicked off a team meeting at the club then led a little mini player revolt.

He got shipped out to non league.

The guys a dick.

Dreading him and that other cock Humpries turning up cupping their ears.

Simons is absolutely top level, there’s no doubt that and what a bargain he was but spare a thought for another class act in Sarce who after getting Bradford promoted last year is now pushing them for promotion again. Considering he’s already done it with Plymouth, ourselves and Stockport before Bradford it makes you wonder where we’d be if we’d have got rid of Evatt instead and kept Sarce? He may not be everyone’s cup of tea but you can’t deny he’s a winner and I see Xav in a similar light.

Great point this. It can’t be a fluke when it’s happened so many times.

I wonder what kind of reception he’ll get when he rocks up, I hope it’s favourable from our lot.

he keeps getting promoted out of L2

then ends up back in L2

did well for us as all things considered

but don't let that cloud the memory of how it all went down

especially after Stockport beat us in the cup

It’s a tight call but they’re both right up there.

It didn’t go unnoticed that the other little twat, Mcmannaman was doing his best to cripple people in his 5 minute cameo when 4-1 down. Still flying in with his horrible scouse challenges - they’ll be rolling him out for his only 10 minutes of the season against us when he’s 50.

Hope you're getting more sun these days ;)

Absolutely not. I sit in WSL to hide from the sun 😉
