Determined to make it hard for us.

In the end the result is all.

Good win.

Thought we played really well for the first 20 minutes and then gave them a goal.

Second half Gale made a big difference and caused them a lot of trouble. The control in bringing down the ball for his goal was superb.

Very happy with the three points.

Come On You Whites!!!

We were awful in the first half. Aimless crosses floated into the box. Sissoko flatters to deceive, Burstow really struggling. Their gifted.goal was ridiculous. The ref warned their players for time wasting and added 1 minute on, dick.

2nd half started with much higher tempo, until their injury breaks. Gale crosses a flatter ball with pace. Caused so many problems for their defence. Subs added more energy and cutting edge. Mom Gale

Sheehan and Errhahan can never again start in midfield for us. Too low energy and zero attacking thrust. Neither can put a foot in either. Gale or Tutu MOTM

Gale for me. The ball through from Dempsey and the control and shot were worthy of the match winner.

The winning goal was a thing of beauty.....a great pass, brilliantly controlled by Gale & then never in doubt, he picked his spot !!

I thought Gale should have had a penalty as well but he gets MOTM anyway, even though he only played half, he definitely upped the tempo of our play & heaped the pressure on Exeter,. (Sheehan runner up for MOTM)

Not sure I agree on that

Well the game today was a fine example

Might be a game where Dalby becomes useful.

Would certainly be getting Gale on sooner rather than later.

You just don't have a clue do you!

I thought some of our passing and quickness today was a massive improvement then Mansfield against another sit back side the fuck up for the goal just made it a lot harder just need to get the ball in the box quicker snd something will drop still a little evatt like with the build up whip the ball into the box quicker

Great to see us grinding out some wins. Just want to see us take it to another level now. 6 out of 9 points in the next 3 would do nicely

A bollock from the keeper can happen .

There are mistakes as in letting in a weak shot, of course it happens, but the mistake today was no surprise and will happen again, because he spends too much of his time out of his goal.  Its a fault in his play generally, rather than just a blip today, he's got away with it more than once this season and it will happen again, hopefully not in a huge game.

Made hard work of it, just shows we still haven’t quite worked out how to play against sides who are happy for us to play in front of them, especially when they have something to defend. We only became more of a threat when we realised that the ball needed to get forward much quicker before Exeter had a chance to sit back again.

Couldn’t believe that twat Magennis was the best player on the pitch for a fair proportion of the game. He was a great outlet and probably a bit of a lesson for us to learn how to play off Burstow on that second phase.

Special mention to Forss, he worked his nads off when he went alongside Burstow and looked much more comfortable there than playing out wide or in behind.

TSL will learn from his mistake. Despite how many times I’ve seen it suggested on social media, I’m certainly not fancying the idea of trying to bring in a new keeper in January. Would just cause unnecessary disruption.

It's clearly tactical from Shuey that Teddy covers the area behind the centre halves when a ball is played in over the top. It's a risky move but definitely how he wants us to play.

If you are losing half way through the second half and end up winning it is a better feeling than a routine 2-0/3-0. What is good about that is we've shown some character in the face of adversity.

Six points from six was just what we needed and it is all in the bag now with the Christmas period ahead. That league table looks healthy and it is a seventh league game unbeaten.

On a historical note, the last time I remember us getting this deep in to a season unbeaten at home was in the big season under Todd, 1996/7. It was around about now we lost our only home game that year v Ipswich. The only other time I have known us lose just once at home was in 77/8 and the home defeat that year was the first fixture of the new year. Little landmark for the team to achieve and plough on further up that table in doing so.

Paul, we lost only one game at home in 1972-73, against Blackburn, 33,000 on

Nothing wrong with him covering the way he did.

Just his pass that was wank.

He could have let it drop and used his feet, and maybe won't try to be so "cute" in future.

That's harsh.  Awful to me is not getting going at all, being 2nd best (like last season v Exeter) etc.  I saw a load of quality passing from EE, Sheehan (especially), Conway and great possession generally.

Agreed there's not enough end product and yes some poor crossing (Sissoko mainly, still unsure how he gets a start when he's the 3rd best left winger - strange that folk gave SS credit for taking him off!).

Burstow had his best hour for weeks, but doesn't have a goal in him although I bet he wishes it was him stood on the 6 yard box instead of Dalby after Tutu hit the post.

Just back and thank Christ for that

1st half we started quite well but after the brain fart by the keeper we seemed to go into shock mode

2nd was more like us,SS correct subs at the correct time. The subs all made a impact on the game

The ref was a wanker.Exeter time wasting from the 1st minute and that tosser in the black let them get away with it, then around the 65 minute he seemed to remember the rules

Exeter could be a half descent team but the shithousing does them no favours.Any way fuck em they got what they deserved

3 points and on to the next

Gale MOM

And then gives the time wasting twats 8 minutes to get back into it! WTF!

A win next week would be absolutely huge.

We all see it different.  They both played well for me, can both win tackles and plenty of energy, invention and attacking.  Sheehan did put a couple of routine passes into touch today, but generally another near faultless performance at home.  EE miles better than at Mansfield.  I'd still have Simons for home games though (don't know what happens to him away but he's not on his own).

I bet he doesn't.  He was still wanting to come out in the 2nd half, its how we play and whether that's down to SS or TSL, it will continue rightly or wrongly.

Another great 3 points (although let’s be honest, they all are).

Agree that we started it well, it was clear from the first couple of minutes that it was going to be the same type of game as against most of the lower sides at home - try and beat the low block and don’t fuck up.

We did fuck up and I was convinced that at best we’d get a point. I was right behind that Gale goal and was up celebrating as soon as it left his foot - I wasn’t expecting to have such a buzz celebrating a win v Exeter at home but finding a way to still get the 3 points was massive.

Subs made a big difference.

Gale is just a far better player than Cissoko.

Good for Dalby to get his goal and actually thought his overall play was tidy too.

Dempsey coming on with half an hour to go is a dangerous player. Completely different to the Mansfield performance.

Pissed off in the car when Talksport said Cardiff had got another late winner but we can only do what we can. Keep the wins coming - I make that 17 points from 7 games!

20 points from the last 10 games.

Thought Sheehan was immense today,he made a couple of misplaced passes out of about 100.

1st half we created next to nothing, had 1 shot on target. Quality passing, if at all was done 40yds from goal? What's great possession?

Burstow does little outside the box, his 1st touch is often heavy. Granted he's had few chances on goal for a couple of games.

That’s the problem though. With Sheehan in the team we end up making 100 passes instead of the 3 needed. He can do that all day and it looks good but we aren’t going anywhere.

We need to stop Sheehan spending all match collecting the ball off defenders, passing to winger, going getting off winger, running to middle, passing to other winger, rinse repeat.

We suddenly created things when we started lobbing it in box. Either from gale or Christie or Conway. It might not be pretty, but with the keeper flapping at everything we looked far more dangerous.
