Johnston proper taunting the Wigan fans after final whistle, brilliant!!!

Bullshit.

They had all left well before final whistle 😂😂👍😎😬

Dominated the game, really one sided bar that one chance for Wigan, new keeper had no saves to make

That's our first away win all season vs 11 men in normal time without the opposition down a man or us having a extremely rare, perhaps once in a lifetime comeback win in added time with 2 goals, so it's a huge win and hopefully means something going forward.

It wasn't without fault of course, you'll not always get a deflected goal and without that we'd be ruing our misses again, but we won, so well done and on to Stevenage 👍

Yes, that's the first "proper" away win, no asterisk, no luck, just went out there, played better than opposition from 1st minute to 95th.

Can we play all our away games at Wigan and Huddersfield?

With our terrible away record, its a wierd thing that we've won 4 times at those grounds in 12 months and only conceded 1 goal in all 4 games.  Is it just coincidence or is it something to do with playing in a big stadium?

Thank goodness for that, I thought we moved the ball a bit quicker and played a lot better than we have recently.

Although it was Wigan and they were woeful, if they carry on playing like that they will be relegated (and good residence to them).

4th at the moment.

Strange league.

Speaking of Sheehan and yellow cards; he's now on seven in the league- is there a ban for 10, or has that gone now?

Easiest goalkeeping debut ever for Bonham.

Looked very assured, got a presence about him.

Players looked so much more comfortable playing the change in formation, just need to be more clinical in the final third now, as others have said, thought Max Conway was outstanding today.

Agreed - Conway was superb.

Maybe no coincidence that we appeared more solid than recently.

Needed the change in shape so SS you finally did the right thing; no changes on Tuesday.

i was worried about Sheehan being on a yellow but fair play to him he kept the head and hit our winner.

Dalby and Burstow shocking first half but both improved second half however another goal scorer is needed.

Burstow to break his away goals hoodoo on Tuesday.

Have a flutter on it.

Just what was needed to lift the gloom.

Last April weren't Wigan fans bragging about not losing to Bolton for ten years, they'll be sick with 3  derby defeats on the bounce.

Might just do that; his play second half was encouraging

So much better, so massive credit to everyone involved. Support looked and sounded great too.

Sheehan head and shoulders above anything else on the pitch. But was a complete team effort. I thought Simons quietly played well getting forward into space. Maybe Dolby’s best game since he got here. Signs of ACD getting back on it.

My only negative thought is that we could be sat here bemoaning another cock up if their lad makes a decent contact.

Also watching Sheehan today I am even more confused that he was subbed last week to let us play this formation.

The amount of times weve hammered trans and been done like that, happy to be on the right side of it this time.

Well done whites. Some soft arses in the build up to this

Thought that, obviously not much actual goalkeeping to do but his housekeeping and distribution were calm and pretty good. One very good long ball out to ACD late on

Dalby's best game for us. Saw signs of why SS bought him. Just needs a goal or two to get him going (I hope).

Much better from some who've been off form lately, particularly Simons but Burstow - after a shocking miss and generally poor first half looked much more like it after HT.

And I know it's easy after winning a local derby, but they seemed a pretty harmonious group at the end.

He will be fucked off, playing long balls and even a couple of times throwing it out quickly.

Absolute fucking scenes

Guilty as charged!

I would have taken a draw based on how bad we've been.  Winning today doesn't erase the lost points recently unfortunately, but it helps.

We were great today, onwards and upwards, season turning game hopefully.

There were some great performances but apart from the well-executed half volley I thought Sheehan wasn’t one of the best as he made a lot of stray passes and needless fouls.
Thought Dalby finally looked like a proper target man - and was well supported for a change, Simons anchored the midfield well, Conway had a good game, the back 3 worked well (stick with it) and there were some good cameos from both McAtee and Dempsey when they came on.
Thought Tutu was good but he dwelt on the ball at times and ACD wasn’t at his best but overall our passing and movement was improved- we just need to find a more clinical edge and bag goals when we’re in the ascendancy as it wasn’t that comfortable as per.

Better though - an away win with the added bonus of it being Wigan.

Never in doubt was it 😁

So much better as a back 3, Conway and tutu much more invoked in their preferred parts of the pitch because if it.

Dalby worked hard throughout, mcatee busy when he came on, Sheehan great technique for the goal.

COYWM turning point this let’s go and claim 2nd.

As previously, I don't mind Sheehan, nor anyone else, missing with some passes, if they're attempting to get players in, or earlier crosses for example.

Do it enough and something will break.

Obviously not every time- still needs to look to see if the pass is achievable, but positivity is no bad thing.

Keep the opposition on the back foot, and watching out for runners.

Could live with those stats every week
