It means everything.  It is weird. I know a few wigan fans and ( apart from one who is a solicitor and he would be a massive cunt no matter who he followed) they are all fairly sound lads but mention us and they foam at the mouth .It is seriously odd.

I get that some of you dont see this as a big rivalry and if I didnt know any of the cunts I would probably see it the same way. But those of us who live close to them see it differently.During  their prem years my kids went to school in wigan and even the teachers gave em shit about being bolton.

Wigan folk are generally sound but when it comes to football and us they change, it defies all logic especially given that their shit stain of a club has only been playing with the big lads for a relatively short time. Speak to them and they think they are a similar outfit to us on and off the pitch they are fucking deluded. 

For the sake of all the kids that are schooled over there for those of us that live or work in or around wigan. Get behind the team suck the ball into the net show these filth what a proper lancashire football clubs fanbase looks and sounds like. If they aren't already, just for tomorrow make them your main rivals. If you dont think they are thats fine.  On Sunday you can go back to hating bury/city/manure or whichever club you like but tomorrow it is founder members of the football league Bolton Wanderers against Wigan Athletic a club that isnt even the biggest in its own ground.

Sadly I just can’t work up an ounce of confidence for this one even though I desperately want to. I firmly believe we have the squad to outperform but I just think SS is getting so much wrong that I think it’s now being passed on to the players. I know the inverted wingers thing worked initially but it hasn’t done for s couple of months now as teams have found it out yet Schuey seems not to see it. The constant chopping and changing can’t possibly help players when they fear dropping for the next game however they play. Even the five substitutes every game achieves nothing positive just destroys any rhythm built up and must hack the players off who are replaced. There’s no question in my mind that we can win tomorrow but unless something changes system wise I don’t see it. Just hoping the chances go in for once doesn’t do it for me and if that’s all Schueys got then frankly I fear the worst.

Apart from the fact he volleyed it in, rather than headed it, you’re absolutely correct.

We can still get to the byline and be effective with inverted wingers. Conway illustrates how a full back can do this, but it also illustrates how we need Tutu or AN Other at right back, to do the same.

For me the problem is not how we create our chances but that we don't take them 

The number of shots to number on target our actual goals ratio shows this for me

Just not clinical enough 

And now our fragile defence has caught up with us it's not going our way

We were definitely papering over the cracks for a while, it was said that's fine as long as we win, but now we're not winning

We need to shape up at both ends, yet we've just lost two keepers in one day 

Manager needs a big re think, needs to find a way that delivers consistently that restores confidence in both players and fans

I lived among them for quite a few years and can relate to your experience. Until we ended up in the same league they never registered in my mind, it felt like they were all delude c***s once they came out of the woodwork. win tomorrow and everything in the world will be fine.
